People swarm in to Cyrkensia from all over the continent. Layla has the opera house booked and plans to perform a new show based around the founding father's of Nestra. Merchants fill the streets, offering up commemorative trinkets. Children dash about, playing while being disregarded by their parents who are desperately trying to find tickets to the show. The scent of cheaply prepared food holds the air. Some people have even gone so far as to set up game booths!
Aside from roleplaying your time at the festival, you may try your luck at some of the various booths! In order to do this, read the rules then tag Nvm with your attempt. Each character may try up to four games.
The Booths Agility Course.
The agility course is built around a small pond. Logs are left floating in the center and you're expected to rush across them without falling into the water. The catch? Several hired hands will be tossing things at you as you dart across. It costs ten gold to use the agility course. You have one chance to roll under your SPD stat multiplied by two. If you succeed, you will be given thirty gold as an award.
Hammer Test.
A mustached man stands with an over-sized hammer in hand. Beside him, a bell sitting at the top of a plank of wood. Burly men attempt to show their strength by hitting the small plate at the bottom, trying to launch a weight to ring the bell. Only the strongest need apply! It costs five gold to take the hammer test. You get one chance. You must roll under your STR skill multiplied by two. If you succeed, you are given thirty gold.
Ring Toss.
The man tells you that a hundred bottles are held within this crate. He offers you three rings and tells you that you can get great rewards if you can make the rings land on the bottles. Do you dare test your skill? It costs ten gold to play the ring toss. You are given three chances to roll under your SKL stat multiplied by two. Every time you succeed, you will be given a different reward.
One ring: 30 gold
Two rings: A new weapon, that you are capable of using.
(Open post for anyone who wishes to RP the event.)
Ethan wanders through the streets, unhealthy snack in hand. He figured that if there was any moment to let his guard down, it could be here. There was no way he would stick out when he was surrounded by thousands of faces. Why would his stick out? For now Ethan wandered about. Today was about enjoyment.

The festival was a proper day for his crew to enjoy themselves. Within reason, of course. A phrase each and every one of his crew drilled into the old man's head. "Hmph! I'm older than the lot of them. I'm the one who should be treating another like a child," the captain grumbled as he made his way through the crowd. Plenty of games and other commodities swarmed the city, each one a pleasant time if the right coin was placed. Oliander had enough to get through the day, and one challenge in particular met his eye. A wide grin spread across his face, wandering up to the test of strength others of his build were attempting. It could be a ploy for the vendor to earn money, and yet, he just did not care.
Not soon after he entered the line was the over sized hammer in the grasp of the sailor. As he lifted the object up, getting a good fell of the hammer's grip, a familiar face now caught his attention. Oliander called out, raising the hammer to swing it, "HEY! I know you lad! Long time no see Ethan!" He took a momentary glance at his target, just wanting the attention of his wandering companion. With a mighty grunt the old man swung the hammer into the plate, hoping he put enough strength to give a desired outcome.

While he did throw in enough force to shoot the weight up, it did not ring the bell as expected. A frown etched itself on the old man's face, "Huh... damn. Thought I used more strength than that."
What a great day for a festival, thought Oliver, who was in Cyrkensia to visit said festival after having dealt with a shady but rather fun elfen butler. At this festival, Oliver was humming to himself, moving about from booth to booth, he looked for something to do, anything to buy as a souvenir back at his room at the end.
When he approached a ring toss, he leaned forward, sliding ten gold pieces to the person that ran it, "Worth a shot eh?" He asked before picking up three rings and looking at them with one eye closed. And then-- 38Fevwcd1-1001-1001-100

Sighing with his left hand over his eyes, Oliver bit his lip and slid another ten gold pieces forward, "Curse you addiction to prizes!"
He chuckled and picked up another three rings, taking up his aim again to make use of his skill with a spear for rings? Unheard of! Oliver still aimed to throw them for the nearest bottle first!
Slamming his hands down on the booth counter, along with another ten gold pieces, "One more go my good sir!" Declaring out loud, Oliver was given another three rings.
Picking them up and twirling them about his finger like a triple looped ring, he attempted to land one around the bottle neck of one of those infernal bottles. "Come on you! LAND!"

{needed a 12, no wins}
Those last two were so close, and Oliver seemed to collapse, dejected but not defeated! "I will best you game!"
"Okay one last attempt before I go crazy. All or nothing as they say no?" He put another clump of ten coins on the counter with a determined look on his face, Though he was already losing a total of ten gold even if he were to land for prize one.
He picked up the three rings and lined up to start throwing again, "here we goooooo!"

Landing one of the rings, Oliver jumped for joy, "Ha! HA! That settles it, I am not good at writing alone!" COllecting thirty coins, OLiver took his winnings and turned to wave to the booth owner, "That was fun, thank you!" Though urged to continue, Oliver smiled and moved off to the next attraction.
He came across a strength test where there were two men conversing, "Big Guy!" He smiled, seeing the sailor that he had spoken to at a campsite before and ran over to greet Oliander and Ethan.
This was her first time in Cyrensia. Shizuka looked at all the large buildings with wide eyes. She didn't even know buildings came this large. There were so many lanterns lighting the streets! So many people! "Whoa," she gasped, as she spun where she stood. Ume had been stabled and waited peacefully for her, though occasionally Shizuka would find herself glancing in her companion's direction. She bet he would have loved walking down the streets beside her. They probably had some really nice apples on some of the stalls.
She started off the first row of stalls. Occasionally she would pick something up and look at it, only to put it down a few moments later. There were a lot of really strange things! Part of her wanted to buy them all, but something told her Ume wouldn't be very happy if she were to make him carry it home.
There had to be something she could do! That's when she saw it. There was a large pole with a bell on top of it. Shizuka had to try it! She ran over and fished her money out of her pouch.

The hammer was heavier than she thought it was. She could barely lift it. Her body shook as she lifted it up to her waist. "HAAAAH," she shouted, focusing her energy into her attack on the button. The hammer was tapped onto it. With all the energy spent, Shizuka was sure it shot up the bell. She glanced upward but didn't see anything. Or hear anything. The weight hadn't even bounced.1-100

As Valentine peeked around the little crowded festival, she seemed to dash about ever so curiously. It was so crowded. "What do you wanna do Brother?" She said in a curious tone, before a mutter escaped her mouth.
"Sister... How about you pick?" He stated bluntly, the strange child had found a bit of gold earlier, not much, perhaps only enough for one game. She glanced around towards the game booths, only one of the games caught her eye, the ring toss. Her face brightened up... Or at least half of it did. It was awfully strange to see a little child with half of their face looking immensely happy, and the other half, didn't seem to really care.
Running up she gave a smile, as she just barely could see much of the stuff, and a little hand pushed out her gold to the booth keeper, who in turn gave her three rings.
"D'you think we'll make it?"
"Well... Hopefully..." Brother's voice wasn't reassuring, but sister accepted this nonetheless. It was gonna be hard without seeing much.
Just as expected, the child didn't hit a single ring into the right place, a pout came over her, or at least somewhat, and she started to sniffle and cry. "Sister, you're making a fuss..." The deeper voice said, but she continued to cry, being a big baby.
"Oliander?" Ethan questioned with a wide smile "Nice to see you!" He shoved what was left of his snack in his mouth and scarfed it down. "Didn't expect to see someone I knew here! How you doin old man?"
Ethan's voice took lighter tones and he showed an ease that was unusual for the man. His actions were a lot more energetic. His steps came lighter, his gestures commanded his whole body. Noticing the hammer, Ethan threw his free hand up "Go for it!"
The bell rose, yet nowhere enough to ring out a prize. "Ah damn!" Ethan snapped his fingers "Ah well man, you know these things are rigged."
Ethan said nothing as the stranger, apparently a friend of Oliander's, approached with a wide smile. He simply made eye contact with the man and nodded, awaiting his turn to be introduced.

"You... want to do the speed run?" Northella mumbled as she watched the elf toss his vest aside.
"Of course!" spoke West with a wide grin, "I ought to try at least ONE of these each, right?"
"... Are you going to take your pants off, too? Wait, what are you... oh."
The elf stood with a second pair of pants on his legs.
"Ohohoho, how quaint, Northella!" he laughed, he shook his finger at her, "You naughty gal! You probably were secretly wanting to see what kind of boxers I wear!"
"THAT'S NOT TRUE!" Northella shrieked, but she slapped her hand on her mouth as her face turned as red as a cherry.
"Tsk, tsk!" West once again wiggled his finger, "Why don't you run along then? Find a bar or something!"
With downturned eyebrows, she wagged her head, "No, I want to watch you fail."
"Haha! Just watch!" the elf laughed, he started at the first obstacle, "I am ready!"

The elf stepped on the first log, but immediately fell as a sack knocked his head. Northella let out a boisterous laugh and slapped her knee.
Approaching Oliander and Ethan, Oliver skidded to a halt, dragging his cane into the ground to halt his momentum. As he came to a halt, he brought his left hand up to his forehead, ring and pinky fingers tucked into his palm along with his thumbs, his index and middle fingers pointed out before flicking his wrist to give a waving salute to them as a greeting. "Howdy!"
As he found another booth, Oliver looked at the thirty coins he had won already from the previous booth. "Nice to meet you, again. We were around the campfire at one point weren't we? I know that's where I met the big guy."
He spoke while walking over to the strength test and gave ten coins to the person who ran the booth, "Lemme give this a try." hefting up the hammer and twirling it around his body just like one would do with a spear, Oliver brought it around and then toward the spot to try and hit the weight up to the bell.

The hammer missed its mark and went flying up as if made out of rubber and out of Oliver's hands! The spear fighter quickly covered his head with both arms as the tool came tumbling back down. "Right--That didn't go as expected." Looking back to Ethan, Oliver gave an introduction, "Name's Oliver by the way, Oliver Oxford."

Rui casually walked into the event, and glanced to and fro. It was a pretty crowded spot, but his eyes quickly landed upon his target. That agility course, he had always been quick so this was a good choice for him.
As he walked towards the course, he want to a stop, to hand out some gold for two runs. He didn't pay attention to the other elf who had just failed miserably.
gDjlQ6TA1-100 (Must be under 24)
As Rui dashed forth into the agility course, he casually tried maneuvering past everything his opponent's through, but suddenly someone he wasn't aware of's location, threw something that hit him right in the back. He gave a death glare, as he walked back to the start of the course.
1-100 (Must be under 24)
This time, he kept more of an eye out, seeming to flawlessly dodge everything, with relative ease. He gave a yawn as he reached the end, before glancing at the person keeping the place, and receiving his payment.
Leaning against a wall immediately afterwards, he closed his eyes. He didn't really understand why people cared so much about such a stupid event. He was probably gonna get going soon, or maybe try out the ring toss. Whatever.
(nvmore 30 -10 -10 = 10 That's the profit Rui made, I believe.)
He had to stop and think about it for a moment. Those around the campfire always seemed a blur. So many people dashed in and out that the only thing Ethan truly recalled was that bothersome ninja and the crushed tent. However, further thinking revealed a brief interaction. Short words traded between parting strangers that, at the time, meant little. Ethan gave a somewhat knowing nod. "Right. I remember now." The wanderer said "My mistake. Feels like its been ages since I've sat by a fire. Honestly, this is the first time I can remember relaxing. However," Ethan returned oliver's waving salute "Howdy."
Then his name was given. It still didn't sound familiar, yet names often went forgotten. After all, passing strangers. "Right. Ethan Leigh." He replied. "I wouldn't worry too much about not winning. These things are rigged to get as much money out of you as possible"

As stubborn as the old man could be, he took a moment to hand the weighted hammer back to its owner before attending to other business. Ethan had noticed his call, but then who would not due to the sailor having the loudest voice in the room. At all times. Oliander rest his forearms on one of the columns used to form a line belonging to a game owner on lunch break. The old man did not even spare a glance as to what it was, perhaps some intellectual thing he knew he would fail. Downside to all of this is his needing to bend over to rest on the short column due to his height. On the plus side he could speak with Ethan with a less ear shattering volume.
"Either it's rigged or my body just doesn't want to outshine all of these -lads- who think they can oppose my strength," Oliander said, grinning a cocky grin. The old man was more or less the same as usual. Whether or not that was a good thing was subject to individual opinion. His brow quirked at the newcomer, before processing who the stranger's identity was, the culprit being that campfire. An odd little place. Before he could say a word, Oliver had gone over to try his own hand at the hammer test, failing. "Oooh. Just can't prove yourself can ya lad," he chuckled.
With that, he considered his options. Spending all of his gold on a silly game was not the best course of action, but he did have plenty to get through the day. Chuckling Oliander held up a finger towards Ethan and oliver , "One moment lads." He wandered up to the mustached game handler, tossing over the required gold. Gripping the hammer, the old man positioned himself, bringing it up for a proper swing.

The weight shot up higher, but no cigar. Oliander grumbled again, "Hmph, another downer."
