Indignation is a Fire Emblem Roleplay. It takes place within the Outrealms as worlds collide and kingdoms wage an endless war. However, amongst the quarrels of men do the horrors of the Outrealm reach in to kill and destroy. Fight alone or join forces with other warriors as we create dramatic tales or wage war!
We are open to roleplayers of all skill levels. If you are interested in joining, check out the discord chat and meet some of our members. Or if you're ready to jump right in, go ahead and join the site!
This thread contains mini guides to various features of the site. If there is something you still wish to know, drop a question or a request into the Q&A and a member of the staff will get to you as soon as we can.

To create your base account click on Register on the top corner of the site, or click this link right here.
From there, type in the email address you wish to use. If you already have an account with proboards, feel free to use that. Fill in any information with passwords and your birthday.
Make your username the name you wish to use for your character!
You will be sent a confirmation code by proboards. Enter the code where prompted and you should be good to go with your account.
Your first account will be used for your first character.
Adding and Managing Additional Accounts
To add an additional account click the switch account button on the bottom right of the screen.
There it'll prompt you to change accounts or there will be an option to create a new account on this forum. Click the link and using the same email as before, create a second account with the name of your second character.
If it seems a bit daunting to have more than one account running, there is a very easy way to check the activity on multiple accounts at once. Right beside the switch account button on the bottom right is the switch forum button.
Clicking that button provides you with a page of all your activity on this forum and any others you might have. Simply click one of the buttons on that page and you'll be provided with a link to any replies or activity you had. Clicking the new activity should change your account with ease, and take you to the link you clicked.
Pretty nifty, right?
For ease of access, I've also linked a button to switch accounts and check activity on the links upon the forum banner. Just click the one that looks like a check mark, labeled check accounts.
There are a few things to have in mind before creating a character.
What continent will your character be from?
What race do you want your character to be?
What is your character's fighting class?
Characters are limited to interacting with characters only in their current continent. At this moment it is implied that each continent is its own separate world. The exception to this rule is the outrealm gates.
To find some information on the classes, visit the Character Creation guide for a full list of what is available.
When you have that figured out you can fill out an Application for your character. We have a template provided, but you may feel free to create one of your own as long as it includes the critical details. Both of which can be found here.
After you pick up a template you can fill it out, or begin to fill it out, and post it in the Pending Character Board. When an application is complete, tag the admins and one of them will look over your character to make sure everything is in order. @meg @nvmore @ocean
When your character is accepted feel free to begin role playing.
We offer many boards for you to interact with other members in order to help develop plots and relationships for your characters within the Character Development forums. Threads in these forums all have a place in the mini profile for a quick and easy link for you. If you create one, feel free to edit it in.
Wanted Ads In the Wanted Ads you can post requests for certain characters you might be looking for:
essential family members for your character's plot
a group of characters that goes out attacking monsters together
help wanted signs
other requests of the same nature
Plotting In Plotting you can list your characters personality and how they usually react to certain situations and other characters. You can also post any ideas you have for plots and events with your character. Other members can then look at the board and post how their characters might match up with yours, be it friend, enemy or possible lover. From there you can talk in the board and plot out events or PM one another.
We do ask that you only have one board per character to cut down on the clutter and edit any plot ideas you might have into the first post.
If you wish to dive into a roleplay without a definite plot before hand, you might want to try out the Open Threads link. Most are open for any characters to join, but some might have requirements. Make sure you reach each description to make sure your character fits.
Flashbacks The flashbacks board allows you to look into the past events of your character. These events must have taken place before the events of Indignation. Usually these events are a way to expand on your character's biography. You may drag in other characters if it makes sense for them to be there. Usually this is limited to people that were childhood friends, past lovers, or family members.
Thread Trackers Trackers are a way to keep an eye on the relations and activity you've had with other members. They're not mandatory, but it is very helpful to stay organized sometimes. Trackers can vary from person to person. Some people might post all the links to their roleplays here, others might keep a journal for their characters relationships. Some do both. Its up to you what you choose to do.1-6·4·1-4·1-4·1-4·1-48WceU0rn

Anything in the list above that is italicized marks the profile fields that you must fill in. ► 250x350 Hover Image, Tracker, Plotter, Application and 150x150 gif should all be URLs. ► MP3-Link must be a MP3 link. ► Allegiance is a drop down menu where you can select where in the war your character stands.
If you do not have anything to fill in for a field, simply leave it blank. Remember, putting your stats in Tell us About Your Character is a requirement.
You can view your profile by clicking on Profile on the top of the site, or can view others by clicking on their username at the bottom of their mini profile.
The profile page shows all of your account's activity, shows off groups you might be in, recent posts, but most importantly it shows you what items are in your inventory.
Inventory Provided that you've been given your starting weapons, under your profile's picture and stats you should find small icons that represent the items that you currently own.
The primary items you'll be using are weapons, but there are other items that can be purchased as well including level ups, class changes, and ways to customize the site to your liking.
Hovering your mouse over an item, gives the name of what it is, and if more than one is owned there will be a counter marker in the form 'x#' above the item in white. Most items do not "break" outside of staves which have a limited number of uses. You must have the item in your inventory in order to use it!
Additional items may be purchased from the shop or received from other characters.
Gifting Items It is possible to gift items to other characters. Beside the 'Send Message' on top of the profile is the option to Gift/Trade. Clicking it opens a popup that shows the inventory of your character and the member you wish to trade with. You can give an item without asking for anything in return, or the other member can offer an item to you in exchange for it.
After a request has been sent, the recipent can see it by clicking the Gift/Trade Requests button on the bottom left of the screen.
You can be taken to the shop two ways. There is a quick link at the top of the forum labeled Armory, or you can click the shop button on the bottom left of the screen.
In the Armory you can purchase various weapons and objects to use around the site. Once purchased the items will appear on your profile with the rest of your inventory.
Items in the Armory are sorted by type.
The level up items allow your character to increase in Rank or change your class completely, the weapons give you stronger weapons that you're able to use provided you have the correct weapon skill and class for, and site related items are various items that change the site in some way or allow you to create another account and character.
The gold for all items comes from your character's current account, outside of the Journal. If you have enough gold on all of your accounts for a Journal, one of the staff members will go in and edit the amounts for you so you can make the new account.
Purchasing an Item
Click add to cart beside an item.
Click on basket, if you change your mind you may remove any item you do not want.
Click on checkout
Like magic, all the items will then appear in your inventory on your profile.
You can sell an item back to the shop for 20% of their original worth by clicking on the item and hitting refund. 1-6·1-4·1-4·1-4·1-4·1-4cF9yzFYK
Gold is the currency that is used on the site to improve your character. You can earn gold by posting on the roleplay forums, finding hidden loot around the site, and occasionally by completing bounty hunts that are offered.
Every in character post that is created is worth 10 gold.
Gold that is earned can be used in the shop or stored in the bank.
The bank, located on the bottom left of the screen.
Gold cannot be transferred between characters or accounts.
To level up a character, you need to purchase the level up from the shop. Non special classes can only level up to twenty. Beast characters and special classes may level to forty. Kitsune and Wolfskin are a special case which may also use a master seal at level twenty to promote their class like the rest of the base classes. If a base class hits twenty, they may master seal their class to become more advanced.
Once a level up a purchased, the player rolls a six sided dice. The number shown is how many different stats that may be leveled up. From there, a two sided dice is rolled for each skill being leveled up. Those numbers are then added to the chosen skills. One dice is rolled per skill being leveled.
9Ha5S7PN1-6 number of stats 1-21-21-21-21-21-2 rolls can be applied to stats in any order
Level 1 Cavalier HP 17 (+2) | STR 6 (+2) | MAG 0 | SKL 5 (+2) | SPD 5 (+2) | DEF 5 (+1) | RES 3 (+1)
Level 2 Cavalier HP 19 | STR 8 | MAG 0 | SKL 7 | SPD 7 | DEF 6 | RES 4
All characters will create their own thread to keep track of level ups. These can be created here. You must tag the admins with every level up.@nvmore @meg
To level up weapons, the next rank needs to be purchased in the shop. Be aware, that weapons can not be leveled if a unit does not meet the minimum level requirements.

Level three: D rank Level eight: C rank Level twelve: B rank
Promoted classes Level five: A rank Level ten: S rank
Singular classes Level twenty five: A rank Level thirty: S rank
Be sure to change your stats in your character's profile and mini profiles as well!1-6·1-4·1-4·1-4·1-4·1-4·1-2
On occasion, a faction leader may post bounties. The bounties will always mention a location to search. The players may then create a thread about searching the location. Players may team up and search together. Upon success, players split the reward.
Avoiding the Bounty Sometimes players don't really want to deal with a bounty. It's understandable, but there are consequences. These consequences vary from bounty to bounty. They will not be known until the bounty is encountered. These consequences are felt if the event is lost.
Looking for the Bounty Although the bounty can barge into threads in the area, player can make threads specifically look for the bounty. Players looking must create a four sentence paragraph describing how they look. If it is shorter than four sentences and the bounty is found, it will be negated.
A main part of war is combat and combat doesn't always have to take place between players. If you want to fight against a common enemy together, or you're bored and just want to fight, NPCs make the best fodder. They range in level so you pick the level that matches your character and do battle. If there are multiple players, perhaps picker a higher leveled enemy for a challenge.
When battle starts with an NPC, pick the player to control them. It would be best to pick the player that attacks before the NPC, so their attacks may come in the same post. They must also decide who the NPC attacks. They decide based on a few things.
When first attacking, they attack the closest player, or the last person they damaged them. They can switch targets when someone deals them a good amount of damage, decided by the person playing them. If they are smarter beings, they may employ deeper tactics and switch up their combat responses.
Reclassing So you're not happy with your class? Or your planned out a character that requires certain skills. Well, this guide will help you with reclassing. Remember that above stats and skills, this is an RPG. Story comes first. You're going to need a narrative reason for the character choosing to drop their fighting style in favor of another.
Things to keep in mind when reclassing:
You may only reclass once you reach level 10, you stay level 10 when you reclass.
You keep the skills earned from the class you are leaving behind.
You must have a narrative explanation as to why the character is reclassing.
You need a heart seal from the item shop.
You keep whatever weapon level you were at, but you may not use that weapon unless the class specifically allows it.
Now when reclassing, you need to look at the base stats of the classes you are changing from and to. Example:
Knight
HP 19
STR 8
MAG 0
SKL 5
SPD 3
DEF 8
RES 1
Fighter
HP 14
STR 7
MAG 0
SKL 6
SPD 6
DEF 4
RES 1
Looking at the stats you will want to get the difference. If your original class has higher stats, you would subtract the stats of the newer class. However, if the new class' stats are higher, you subtract the stats from your original class. Say you are going from knight to fighter, this is how the difference would look.
Since the Difference between the old classes HP and the new Classes HP was 5, you would subtract five from your current HP.
The new HP would be 15. The same would be applied to STR, with it dropping to 11. Mag remains unchanged. Now, skill for the new class is higher. You would add 1 to your current skill to make it 13. The same would happen with SPD. You would add 3, for a new SPD of 13. Defense would drop by 4, making it 7. Res would stay unchanged.
Forging Weapons Forging a weapon can increase both its MIGHT and HIT, extending the weapon's usefulness. The weapon gains one tier each time it is forged. The highest level a weapon can be forged to is seven.
How Forging Works In order to forge, you will need two weapons of similar tier. For example: To create a +5 sword, you will need two +4 swords. In addition, you will need the proper type and amount of ore. Each weapon type has its own ore type. For example: Swords may only be forged with crystals. When forging, you must have the same amount of ore as the level you are upgrading to. For example: a +5 sword would require five crystals. When all necessities are met, you may then post on the blacksmith's board. You will need to post the two weapons you are offering and the amount of ore you are putting into it. From there, one weapon will be removed and you will be allowed to mark down that your weapon is now forged.
Obtaining Ore Ore can be obtained in a number of ways, the more reliable being venturing through the Outrealm gate. After each successful exploration, you will be rewarded with one randomized ore. Each character may explore the gate up to four times per day. Ore can also be found in chests and awarded through events. Ore can be traded between players.
How can you tell if someone has a forged weapon? A weapon must be properly displayed once it is forged. You must put it in your character application and you must include it in one of two other places: Your character's signature or the about section.
