The bow's mystical beam died down, leaving Serena with nothing more than an ornate pole. She lowered it with flair. "You're the the one that caused the explosion? I would say it's good work, but we'd still need to find him. You have any idea? They said he was going to be executed, so I'm guessing jail cells would be our best bet."
She glanced into the courtyard, finding a mixture of bodies surrounding open stocks. "He's already free then." She muttered. "I guess we follow the trail of bodies?"

Jessop flinched at Ethan's words and hung her head down. It was better for her not to say anything at this point.
On the other hand, Mai's became a deep scowl directly at him.
"For heaven's sake, Ethan..." she sighed as she wiped her forehead, "How do you even think I managed myself before? I didn't even NEED to know how to properly fight. Can you even conceive that there are other ways to deal with people other than straight up killing them?"
"Uh... words?" Freeman chimed. Jessop immediately elbowed the man in his ribs, "Shush!"
"I didn't ASK you, Freeman, but yes, words," replied Mai with a nod, "If there is anything I'm the best at, it's talking to people. How on EARTH do you think I managed to convince a giant to work with me?" She closed her eyes and let out a short sigh before resting her head down, "... Whatever. I pray my efforts here will not be in vain." EthanAkemi

Brother. Raziel gave a deep breath seeing that she had lowered her weapon. A useless fight would be avoided. That instantly cleared up a few things. The dragon never really pried into Ethan's past enough to learn that he had a sister. No doubt the news of Ethan's capture had spread across the Nohr lands. This woman had traveled far to help her sibling.
“I know him yes,” he assured her. “I'm here to retrieve him.” From what Clayton had told him, Ethan had indeed been already freed. “He's fighting them,” he tilted his head, “In there. There's a man named Campbell. A wyvern rider. You find the wyvern, we'll find Campbell.” Eventually, they would run into Ethan.
"I know Campbell." Serena said, charging in the direction that the tall stranger pointed out. "He's a prick. Look, he'll hid behind a dozen people so Ethan's going to need our help."
The seeker had no issues shooting a wyvern rider down. Campbell had always been worthless, yet Ethan could never seem to see it. But if her brother was fighting, then he was free. It seemed the little rascal had gotten resourceful, or he had assistance from people like the man behind her.
They charged down stone halls, following the trail of bodies no doubt left by her brother's keepers. No doubt, they were out for blood. However, this man seemed the type that could explain her presence.

"Not with Nohr." Ethan snapped. "If we could talk our way out of trouble with Nohr, neither of us would be here. But we are. And we don't need to be here long."
It seemed that Akemi grew tired of hearing them bicker. She placed Mai on Ethan's wyvern and decided to find her own way out of the fortress. Akemi has left the thread
His rampage left a trail of death down stone halls. Sword in hand, Ethan painted spiral steps a deep red. Soon enough, they found themselves outside.
A high moon hung overhead, painting the courtyard to their right. Fresh air came tainted by violence. Guard towers stood separated by sixty feet of stone. The wilderness to their right was barred off by protective merlons. Ethan eased out of the tower, checking both sides of the walkway before bringing Mai out. He lead them towards their waiting carriage when memory broke from the distant spire.
Drawn in ebony, broken by scarlet cloth, was his elder sister. Ethan stopped in place. Lips parted, he stared in disbelief. "Sera?"

Akemi also took Jessop and Freeman by dragging them behind her with ropes.
"Enough!" Mai exclaimed as her fist hit her leg, "Let's just find Raziel and assert profitless pasts later! Hmph!" She puffed her cheeks and turned her head as she sent a bolt of lightning down a corridor at a single soldier.
At this rate, Hoshido should try to take advantage of their operation--that is, if they weren't already informed prior to this sudden insurrection. Despite having cut down their manpower, there would be time for the Nohrians to recover after they left.
They finally ended up outside after navigating the maze of the fort, and had finally arrived to the rendezvous with Raziel. She had expected to see Clayton here as well, but he was not here. Instead, there was another woman, one with the same hair color as Ethan...
Another person from the Ice Tribe?
"Raz, who is this?" asked Mai to the manateke, "... We aren't enemies, are we?" Ethan

That sounded right. Everything she said matched Raziel's experiences with Ethan and his previous clash with Campbell. From the way she spoke about Campbell to her appearance, it was very clear that this woman did indeed have a connection to Ethan. The two of them didn't have to travel far before the man they were looking for appeared before them. Mai was at his heels. The other woman had been no where to be seen. The two looked... well... they were able to retreat, so that was enough for him.
Raziel waved his arms to usher the others towards the carriage. Mai's question had gone ignored. There would be a better time to stand around and have idle chitchat. It was great and all that Ethan was able to meet up with his sister, but there was still an army after him. “We should still keep moving,” he reminded them.
That voice. Deep, yet youthful. Full of false knowledge, yet twisted with unfamiliar maturity. Gray eyes turned to meet gray eyes. How long had it been since the two seen each other? She stood taller than him, by a foot. Somehow, she remembered it being more. Had he really grown in a few short months? His hair had, leaving her little brother that much more shaggy. Bruises and scars covered his toned body. Ethan had grown and she wasn't there to see it. Her thoughts and reunion were broken by the woman at his side.
"Enemies?" Serena recognized the woman from their battles at the bottomless canyon. Was the women playing weak? Or had she truly forgotten? "We don't have to be. Your tall friend is right, we shouldn't stay here. Ethan, say goodbye to your friends. You're coming with me."
"Where do you plan on going?" He asked.
"Back to Nohr, Ethan." Serena stepped closer. "You caused a lot of trouble when you ran away and you need to make it right." "So you want to take me to Garon." "I don't have any other choice. You, don't have any other choice. The tribe is dying, brother. They've taken almost everything from us and it's because of you. I don't want to do this, but I've come a long way to find you. Ethan, you're coming with me. Even if I have to drag you, bloody, beaten, and scarred."

Mai squinted at the Ice Tribe woman before opening them wide in surprise, then narrowing into a furrow of her brow. She was Ethan 's sister? What amazing resemblance, yet the time was not right for gawking. Over her dead body was this stranger taking him back with her, especially after all the trouble she had to go through to do it!
"... You," she murmured with a low voice, "... I do remember you. I was a pitiful wretch before you." Once more, her eyes appeared to glow red, "While I appreciated your mercy and feel for the condition for your tribe, I cannot allow you to take him back." Her arms folded and her head tilted back as her tone became more passionate, "I did not rescue him from his chains to have him tortured before your contemptible king! That would defeat the whole purpose!"
Finding strength in her legs, she dismounted the wyvern and stood between the two of them. The hostility in her eyes mounted, yet she made no other movement.
"I will not acknowledge your wish to return him home," she spoke with a fervor, "But your brother is a grown man. Let him make his own decision." Will he choose his tribe... or his freedom? SerenaEthanRaziel
This hadn't been what Raziel was expecting. He studied the woman and Ethan with his arms crossed. This was Ethan's choice, but to spend so much time fighting for something only to give it up, to fall into the hands of the enemy after he had just been freed. Raziel didn't want to allow it. "Can he make it right without having it cost his freedom?" he asked. Something told him that it would be a no. "Ethan, is not alone here." There were plenty others willing to lend him a hand.
"You were a woman on a battlefield full of soldiers." Serena said. "You cried, as any civilian would. And no. You can't feel for my tribes condition. You haven't seen children ripped from their parents and forced to die. You haven't seen most of your food shipped away, supplies looted from stores over one person." She glanced to her brother. "Over you, Ethan. You've surrounded yourself with quite the circle of people."
She loosened her shoulders. "They believe in you, just as I did. It makes me wonder if you placed yourself at the center of those grand tales you used to tell. They seem to think you a man. If you were a man, you wouldn't have run. A man, Ethan, would take responsibility for what he's done. A man, would accept his fate. There's no choice here. You have to come with me."
Ethan stared with the dragon at his back, injured innkeeper at his front. Gray, intense eyes watched his sister. She had always been one to jump at the worst situation. So resourceful, yet narrow-minded. "Things don't have to be critical, Sera. Raziel is right. We have to find a better way."
"There isn't one." She snapped. "I've spent days thinking of this. There's no way out."
"You just aren't thinking in th-"
"I'm not the one thinking? What did you think running away would accomplish? You're a fugitive Ethan. Do you have any idea what that's done to mother? Her son, her only son, is a criminal. Her only son is the reason our tribe is dying. Give this up before there's no tribe left to return too."
"Serena." Ethan said. Her words had worn his tough exterior out. "I can't go back with you."

It was obvious that Serena was the dominant one, simply from the sight of Ethan weakening.
"That's enough!" Mai exclaimed as she brought herself between the two of them, "You heard the man! He won't go with you!" She placed a hand against Ethan's chest and gently pushed him back as she brought herself front and center before Serena, "I don't know what kind of hell you people are going through, but if there is one thing I know for sure, a loving sibling would never try to bring her brother into harm's way! You think bringing Ethan back will change anything for your tribe?! I promise you the change won't EVER be for the better! Garon will be laughing at your tribe because you were weak enough to surrender! Call me naive and inexperienced all you like, but his resolve is mine, and I will NOT let you bully him to your standards!" The last few words were followed with her taking out her Elthunder Tome and holding it up threateningly at Serena.
"Leave this place," she hissed, "Or leave this place with a charcoal tongue." RazielEthan
"Love?" The seeker questioned. "You can't try to use love against us. A loving sibling would never have run off and let his tribe wither in his absence. Lady, you don't know me. You don't know what I've had to do for the people I love. I'm just smart enough to see passed the fact that some things are more important than my brother, or myself. Or you for that matter."
A yellow beam joined Serena's bow together. "I've faced you on the battlefield. You once used a green-haired woman to rush in and strike me down. No doubt you have this man behind me. And possible, my brother. But that's just that. You have to have people help you. Don't speak of weakness. Weakness is hiding behind excuses and other people. Do you have the will to use that weapon?"
"Sera, that's enough. Better men than you have tried to bring me in."
"They weren't me.."

Mai expected the pain to be searing, yet this feeling she encountered was a little more complicated.
Their struggle had begun. Serena was hellbent on taking Ethan back for her own personal gain.
It made Mai ask the question of herself. Was she also seeking to free Ethan simply to free herself of the guilt of losing him before?
No, her reason was deeper than that.
The witch placed a hand over the place she was struck, then looked back up to the archer with a placid expression. "How pitiable that we resort to violence..." she spoke with a shake of her head, "Ku... but I suppose we're two very different people from very different walks of life." The woman's voice shook as her words became impassioned, "I came to save Ethan, not because I wanted to feel better about myself or some other stupid, selfish reason. If it were so, I would've laid myself down in his place because... because..." Her eyes stared into the windows of Serena's soul as her brow suddenly furrowed, "... because of a reason I would never a pigheaded shrew like YOU!"

"And you asked if I had the will to use this, ne?" asked Mai with a condescending stare, "After everything I've gone through these past weeks up until today, you don't think I wouldn't hesitate?" EthanRaziel 1-100
