The wilderness, several miles away from Macarath, near to Poacher's Forest
Two days following the event of A Back Alley Mugging
"Going for a walk?" "Yes... as always, I leave the inn to you." "Of course. Please enjoy yourself!" "Thank you, m'dear."
With an overcast sky and the sleepy denizens of Macarath slowly rousing, a dark, bat-like silhouette surged across the sky with great speed in the direction of the east forest, landing with great force in the midst of an open clearing, throwing dirt and dust into the sky.
When the dust had settled, there was no creature to be seen, yet the wisps of smoke gave hint of the beast's movement. Bounding across the ground with incredible speed, the monster stopped just before a dirt road.
The air reeked here, and because of its powerful olfactory senses, there was a trail. Fresh blood had been dragged across the ground here... no, rather, a body had been taken this way.
A low gurgling hiss reverberated in the beast's throat as it began to stalk low, following the scent of blood. chrim

'Ah, yet another easy catch this night. And it seems to be a tasty one as well~' A slight rumble would come from him of happiness as he thinks this to himself in his kitsune form. So seeming to grin to himself he'd continue to tear into the boar's corpse with his razor sharp teeth as he devour's it, slowly enjoying his meal. What he doesn't realize however is that there is another creature following the trail of blood he left behind himself. But not knowing this his pitch black tail with specks of a dark blue would continue to wave lazily behind himself while he continues eating, for now in peace.

Ah, the smell of wet iron... what an intoxicating scent. No cooked food or perfume could ever provide such an engrossing smell than blood, and as such it prompts a craving...
Fresh meat... the monster thought, I want some fresh meat, too...
The speed of the monster increased, and in the darkness, two crimson eyes began to glow as the hunger for fresh meat began to fill its mind. The earth near its bounding began to tremble. Soon enough, the sight of blue lights appeared in its vision, and of their luminescence did they give away the sight of a fox-like tail.
There was no doubt about it... this was a kitsune.
The monster stopped in its tracks, kicking dust in the air. Another low, guttural growl echoed in the atmosphere, intentionally giving away its presence to the feeding kitsune. chrim

As he was eating the kitsune would soon hear a decently loud growl. So freezing for a second in eating he would then turn to look in the direction of the sound to see a decently large creature. At first he'd be about to run but would stop himself at realizing something. It didn't attack him and instead made a sound which means it could be friendly or it's giving him a warning.
So instead tilting his head to the side slightly he'd look to the boar before looking back to it again. "Am I perhaps in your territory..? If so I'm sorry for intruding if you can understand me." Saying this he'd bow his head very slightly but would still keep the creature in his sight just in case it tried attacking him. "However if this is not your territory or home then why did you make a sound as if to announce yourself instead of attacking? Was it to scare me away or ask for something?"

Given that the voice had not completely registered to the memory of the monster, it simply pressed forward to invade the space.
The kitsune was bold to negotiate first hand with an unknown creature, but with that fact it opened up a rather awkward situation. Couldn’t he at least show some hint of apprehension? Fear, maybe?
UGH. I couldn’t have a decent holiday romping about the forest? The manners of some...
An incredibly long hiss filled the atmosphere, as if the creature was expelling all of the air in its lungs. Two trunk-like forelimbs crashed down on either side of the kitsune, then a lithe, scaly, wolf-like body followed after. The neck of the beast was raised high with certain dignity, its eyes now looking down with a condescending glare.
”Shaaaaaaah...” the voice that emanated from the creature was low, guttural, and unfamiliar, ”... I am one who hungers for blood in the darkness of the midnight. Will you be my prey this evening?” chrim

The thought of running away only grew as the creature would slam two parts of it on either side of him as it was now directly in front of him rather than partial hidden in the shade of the trees.. Course being in full view would cause it to seem even more terrifying, it's body perfect for running long distances, legs good for crushing it's prey or jumping across ravines and maybe even rivers, and it's teeth could probably rip through a tree if it wanted to. However hearing it speak he knew right away that if he ran it would most likely chase him down due to the question or statement it asked?
Reading all of this in the several seconds of it approaching and speaking, the kitsune knew there were only two good options since it seemed intelligent. Confuse it or make it think he's even weaker then he really is.. So cracking a very light smile he would bow his head this time as if in awe of the creature in front of him before speaking. "I apologize honorable being of the darkness. But I'm afraid that I would be quite a horrible challenge for your greatness this fine night... After all, I usually hunt bear's or other creatures near it's strength to eat. But due to an injury that I received I can only hunt smaller creatures like boar's, deer or rabbit's..." With that said he'd raise his left paw and act like something is damaged under the fur by hanging it limply before carefully placing it back on the ground with a slight whimper as if it pained him a bit.
Continuing with the ploy he'd keep speaking. "Sadly my paw was sprained when it caught on a raised root making me trip a few days ago during an intense chase... However my injury should be healed within a week or two and I tend to hunt every other night to feed myself. So if you look for me when my paw is healed you could have a great time if you would allow me to go free."

Oh? Oh? Is he injured? Now, that... that makes things easier for me, doesn't it?
The monster couldn't even tell whether it was a legitimate wound or not with the way his paws were so bloodied up.
The head of the monster lowered, pressing the top of its skull against the top of the kitsune's. If it was not clear then, it certainly was now: the creature was a dragon with wings that acted like hands.
"A curse on you for giving me excuses! I do not hunt for sport," was an irritable response, "Such a thing is contradictory to my desire... my desire to feast!" The last part was accompanied by an aggressive growl, "You are a bold fox, and I am certain you are not stupid. Ergo, leave the boar with me so that I may eat my fill, and perhaps I shall not also take your own flesh as my sustenance." chrim

I suppose things worked somewhat but I'd rather keep my mea-.... Oh? Now that should make things somewhat entertaining~
Realizing something else as he sniffs the air his smile would become more mischievous rather than before. In fact he'd now openly show his expression this time. So if their head wasn't on his she would be able to see it as well.
"I don't suppose you've gone and eaten any aristocratic women recently, have you~?" Stopping his acting of being hurt he instead playfully yet quickly start's winding around the dragon before continuing. "But then again I doubt she'd be eaten that easily due to how she can punch a knife throwing thief into a wall." Giving a slight chuckle chrim would keep running between the dragon's arm's and leg's while nipping playfully at them. "You know what. I think my paw just finished healing so I'm up for a bit of a chase after this boar is eaten. So how about we share this meal and have fun afterwords madam? Or am I wrong in my assumption~?" Asking this the kitsune would quickly run onto the other side of the boar from her as he sit's watching the dragon with a grin.

The scent thing again! It was a mistake to get too close! At least her face was unable to make any other expression aside from dignity, because she both embarrassed and irritable!
Well, as much as she desired to deny it. There was no hiding things anymore... that said...
She swiftly reached over the boar with her lesser forelimb, wrapping her large hands around the kitsune’s neck with a firm grasp. With her other arm, she grabbed the leg of the dead boar.
”One more word out of your gabbing mouth...” she growled, ”And I will REALLY kill you.”
The dragon’s wing arms pressed down like a coil before springing high into the sky, then opened with a flap. She brought them deeper into the forest and over a small clearing, where she swooped down and dropped both the boar and kitsune onto the ground. Shortly after, she landed with a mighty thud, turned her head, and spewed a sliver of fire onto wood sitting neatly in a pit full of ash, igniting it instantly.
Finally, there was a flash of light as the enormous dragon disappeared, replaced with a more human-like figure with bat-like wings and serpentine tail.
“You are not subtle with other people’s secrets, are you?” the Madame huffed, her cheeks puffed up as she folded her arms and turned her head away, “Honestly! It’s like you were trying to get me to lie to you!” chrim

During the flight he would stay silent just in case she'd follow through with what was said... Also they were pretty high up so it would be wise not to make her mad, or madder?
Once they land with the boar she would light an already prepared fire-pit before turning back into a more human like appearance. Course hearing her yell at him he would seem to shrink back very slightly and hang his head as if saddened. "I'm sorry.. But I did say that I was blunt when we met, and I didn't mean to make it seem like I was trying to get you to lie Madam..."
Even though he seems genuinely sorry and perhaps even somewhat scared since his tail and ears are both lowered, Chrim would look back up to her still in his kitsune form and give a slight somewhat wary smile. "But is this a yes to us sharing the boar or would you still like me to leave..? Cause I really am hungry for meat after all the snacks I had started to somewhat disagree with me... Oh! And if we are sharing the meat does that mean we can have fun afterword!" As he continued to talk his train of thought would soon lead him to be somewhat excited again along with his tail soon swishing in a playful manner behind him.

“Quiet, you chatterbox!” the Madame hissed in an unearthly voice with a stomp of her dragon-like foot on the ground, “Can’t you read the atmosphere?”
The claws of her arm-like wings lowered and rested on her shoulders, forming a type of cape that dragged across the ground. Just as well, two small horns similar to antlers appeared on her head, and her body was covered in red scales.
“This form...” she spoke in her normal voice as she folded her arms, “... Is known to only so many people. It is my preference to keep it that way...” Her eyes became snake-like and piercing, “As for you, my dear fox, you haven’t exactly built trust in my person.“ Her her left wing extended forward and pointed at him. “Tell me, Chrim, can I put faith in you to not speak a word of what you have discovered?” chrim

Perhaps it would be better if I talked while not transformed..?
With that thought there would be a flash from him as Chrim is now standing where the kitsune was, though he doesn't have his cloak on him at all showing his ears and tail fully in his more human form. "Apologies. When transformed I tend to... Be a bit more excitable."
So bowing his head lightly in apology he'd continue. "Anyways this would sort of be a two way street for me. I don't want people to know about me and you don't want people to know about you. So to preserve myself I must keep your secret else you or some other person might. No, will kill me.. So overall you can choose to trust me if you want or can just finish me off now... I would prefer the first option if possible though Madame." Continuing to bow his head the whole time while speaking, chrim would wait to hear his verdict and what she has to say.

The words that came out of his mouth caused her chest to ache in emotion.
“Chrim,” she said with a tightly knit brow, “From your words, if I were so bent on my self-preservation, I would’ve immediately relieved you of that foolish head of yours. I am someone who ties off the metaphorical loose ends, a person who would rather kill a man of wavering loyalty than let him live to give me trouble later.” Her voice increased in passion as she slowly approached him, “Indeed, if I had even considered the very risk of discovery, I would not have even raised a home for people like yourself, oh, and let alone put myself out among the public to assimilate with those who have historically disdained my very existence, thrusted me into slavery, and for nearly two thousand years exploited the very core of my being!”
By this moment, she stood right in front of Chrim, her breathing shallow, and claws bared within inches of his face.
“That...” she sighed as her limbs lowered, “That I would have to live again under the fear that some fool would sell me out at the slightest convenience? What does that even say of your character? Should I say that I regretted ever inviting you to my office? Do not make me even consider it, Chrim. I am a woman who locks the secrets of my friends within my heart, and for you to even consider that you would not do the same for me? That you would limit my choices for your survival to kill or to let live?” She pulled her face an inch from his, ”Shame on you... shame on you!” chrim

As the Madame spoke if his ears could they would be even closer to his head along with his tail if it could. As it seemed she was going to claw his face apart a look of acceptance would cross his face for a moment. But the Madame instead lowered her claws and continuing to talk Chrim would soon feel somewhat horrible, even if he didn't mean what he said in a few of the ways she stated them.
Still not rising his head due to the feeling and her face being only an inch from his he would finally speak. "I.. Did not mean things to sound that way... By what I said.. I meant that I would keep your secret to my grave Madame.. I may not know what it's like to be enslaved, however I do know what it's like to be hunted... So I would never say anything to cause another to be hunted, or for them to become a slave..." Still keeping his ears down and tail hanging limply a very quiet whine would come from him as if to show how bad he feels, however it's not cause he feels bad for himself but rather for her.
