The girl peeked at the road, curiously before nodding her head. "I think so! Yeah! I've totally been here! I think!" She exclaimed, assuming she probably had, however, she recognized this little place not even in a teensy bit, but it was a path, so they had to have been there!
"And if I'm wrong, we can always follow it, then ask for directions!"
The man's expression hardened. She wasn't very convincing. Something told him that she still had no clue where she was. But her optimism got him moving once again. He continued up the path. Until they finally came to a small village. "Does anything look familiar to you yet?" Hopefully this was her home. Raziel was full of patience at the very least, he had nothing but time.
Lisette glanced around her expression somewhat perplexed.
"Hrmm..." Her cheeks puffed out, as she looked around, it certainly wasn't where resided. Her city, was... To say the least, very different in architecture. "I don't think so... Let me just..."
The girl walked off, to talk to a local, asking them where to go. They ended up pointing to a path different from the one they arrived on, and to that Lisette came back.
"That lady says that we have to go down this path!" The taguel pointed towards it, with a smile. "Like that's where the path to the bottomeless canyon is!"
The man blinked a few times. How could she not know what her own city looked like? To say she didn't think so... that was... He held back from saying anything. Perhaps he could teach this woman to be more observant in the short time that they would spend together. He let her talk to the woman, listening carefully to the exchange they had. It seems like they weren't too far off. "Then we have our directions. Do you wish to stop for a rest first? It would be good to at least take a drink before we keep going."
"Oh! Oh you're right! We should take a break for water!" Lisette exclaimed quite loudly, before turning back, looking for where there might be water. Seeing nothing immediately, she dashed off, and a few minutes later brought back two small containers of water.
"Look Mister Raziel!" She exclaimed, as she hugged one container to herself, and held the other out towards him. "A nice lady gave me these! This'll make the trip easy peasy!"
The man took a few steps to follow her but she soon zoomed off with great speed. He simply waited once again for her return. With luck she hadn't taken too long. He pat the young woman's head once again and took the water. "Many thanks to the maker," he lifted the container and took a small drink. The rest had been mainly for the young miss he was traveling with. "Now if you're ready," he nodded towards the road. If they kept a good pace they would be there before nightfall.
Lisette smiled, she was really glad someone was so kind as to give the water. Back in the city of Cyrkensia, that kind of thing was a bit less common. Then again, there was fresher water in Hoshido, so maybe that made it easier for them?
Regardless, she walked towards and along the path quickly. "I'm ready, let's go!" She exclaimed, looking back, as she walked. "Have ya ever been to Cyrkensia?"
He walked on. His pace quickened to match that of the rabbit he walked beside. The two were making good time as she seemed to have gained more energy from the quick stop in the other town. The man walked, enjoying the feeling of the afternoon sun on his skin. His eyes, occasionally closed, he listened to the peaceful forest around him. "I can't say that I have. I tend to avoid most large cities. Places with a lot of people don't really appeal to me much. What is it like?" That being said, he probably wouldn't be staying with Miss Lisette for long after they arrived.
Lisette thought for a moment, before touching a finger to her lips, to prepare her response. As she began to speak, she moved her hand aside.
"Well let's see, it's really loud and crowded, and um if you aren't careful you could run into bad people, but usually it's really nice!" Lisette exclaimed, "Most the people aren't that nice, but that's fine! Hey where do you live?" Her conversation change was swift, as she thought of such a thing. After all, he was a manateke, but everyone needs a home.
The dragon wondered how somebody like her could live somewhere that seemed so unfortunate. He could picture her being the only glimmer of light in this dull, dreary home she called Crykensia. It sounded dangerous for ao,ebody as young and innocent as her, but it was the place she called home. Somethin told him that she would leave if she really needed to. Not everyone cohld fit the wanderers life. "I dont have one. I live off the land. The place i grew up is a very long way away."
Lisette nodded a bit. It sounded kind of sad to not have any real home. "Well if you're ever in Cyrkensia, stop by, okay? We're frie... Well maybe not, but if you want a friend, we can be friends, okay...?" She smiled awkwardly, and scratched her head as she went along.
The dragon couldn't help but to smile at the girls words. They had known each other for no more than half a day, and she was already calling him her friend. He had been nothing but friendly towards the girl. "Friends," he repeated. He had gone into this in the hopes of getting a free meal and a place to stay overnight. What he might have gotten was something that could last him much longer. "Yeah, I would like that. I'll be sure to remember you and Cyrkensia."
Lisette perked up at his response, he actually did want to be her friend. Folding her arms behind her back, she continued onward. "Okay, then its official, we're friends from here on out!" She stated in an enthusiastic time, she didn't have many friends, so it made her happy to know he was her friend now.
As they made their way down the road, Raziel would occasionally engage the woman in conversation, but with this energetic young woman, it wasn't hard to break any silence. Time had passed as they went down the road. What he could only assume was her home town was becoming visible on the horizon from in front of the setting sun. "Looks like we're almost there. We've made good time. I apologize for guiding us away from your home initially. It shall not happen again." In his defense, he didn't know the area. At least he did now. "I'll see you to your home Miss Lissette."
She smiled with a nod. "Don't worry, it was really fun getting to know you!" She stated with a cheer to her voice, that seemed a bit more prevalent than earlier. "Besides that, I had no clue where to go either!" With that she sped up slightly, from about here she could tell where to go to head home, but seeing as it was getting late, it was nice to go along with the manakete. After all, she had no way of protecting herself from the dangers lurking within the night.
