"Mah?" Hadassah opened her mouth with the contents of the cake still in her mouth. Some of the servants coiled back in disgust at her lack of manners. "Oh, sorry." She swallowed the cake and cleared her throat, "This is more of a personal preference for myself, actually. I'd like to know if I'm allergic to anything in the cake before I swallow it." A small giggle came from her throat, "Then again, I ate a lot of cake for what my intentions were. It was pretty tasty. Kind of a lemony sort of flavor, I'd say."
The manakete looked down at the cake, then nodded her head, "Yeah, it's not so bad as a dessert, but for a breakfast meal?" She took another large portion of cake on her fork, "I could go for some more protein to fuel me up for the day. What do you think, Asinine?"

Asinine seemed rather unfazed, as he observed her unblinkingly. "If you were allergic to cake... That'd be awfully unfortunate. A major loss to my studies." Asinine said, his eyes finally glancing to the wall. "Unfortunate indeed, however easy to get over." His words seemed to suggest he'd be fine if the maiden were to die.
As his glance finally turned back to her, he took another bite of his cake. "I think the thought of anything else than cake, is repulsing, however..." He said, pausing, before glancing towards a servant. "Get her some 'protein', as she so gracefully put it."
The servant ran off in quite the hurry, and Asinine began to tap a finger upon the table.
"More importantly... Hada, what would you say are the major differences between you and humans?"
Hadassah grimaced at the meaning of his words. She was nothing more than a lab rat to him? That was unacceptable.
"Before I answer that, I will say this first: for a scholar, you really do lack any scholarly etiquette," Hadassah spoke firmly with a fold of her arms, "I truly hope you would see other people with better worth than you do for me, because one day you might find yourself lying in the dirt as I have for you... at the mercy of a person you have affronted. If you want me out of your life, Asinine, give me back my stone and say the word, and I will be out of your princely, cake-filled life without so much of a good bye." She leaned back in her seat, "Otherwise, show me a little more care and keep your inner thoughts to yourself so I can properly answer your questions."

"Whatever..." Asinine muttered out, he didn't understand how she felt she could make demands in her situation. Moreso than anything, he wished he could just not have to do this, yet this was his family's trade. Knowledge.
"I don't really care if I'm lacking etiquette, so just answer my questions, if you'd like to leave." He gave a bit of a yawn, before rubbing at his eyes. Leaning back in his wheelchair, he pulled his plate towards himself, as to not have to reach too far. "Tell me everything about your race, or I may just tell them to starve you... You'd trade information for food, right?" Despite the dark implications, held within his words, he spoke as if it was the simplest thing. After all, he found it to be a likely way for him to get results.
"Tch. Thicker than a behemoth and as childish with threats as a two-year old," Hadassah scoffed. She stood up out of her seat and slammed the table, "Fine, go ahead and forego sustenance. I would rather die than tell a soulless scoundrel of my own race." Her eyes flashed with an intimidating glare, "... but always remember, Asinine... a dragonstone is only meant to regulate transformation so that the manakete won't go insane... but if it's against the great, unchangeable you..."
A reptilian hiss escaped her throat, "Shaaah... I will gladly throw away my humanity to have the psychotic dignity of a dragon!"

Asinine stared incredulously. Did she really think that her attempts at forging fear within him would work? His expression didn't even change, as she spoke like this. "Such a shame, and to think I was actually being nice..." He muttered, as let his eyes wander off to the side.
Suddenly speaking up, he began, "I don't honestly care what you think of me, but seeing as you're unwilling to speak..." He paused for a moment, taking another bite of his cake. "I can let you starve to death, or I can just toss you to the curb, with your meaningless stone... I'd rather not have a decaying corpse litter my home though... Hmm... What to do, what to do..."
He started to wheel his wheelchair away from the table, and he sighed. "I take it I'll have to blindfold you, and bring you somewhere far far away, won't I?" He muttered this out, as he glanced back at her.
Ugh, and to think he had even dragged her here... What an ungrateful person...
"Sure, call it nice," Hadassah growled with a look of scorn, "That's the only way you'll see it for yourself." She folded her arms and arched herself back, "While I am grateful of you for rescuing me, I won't tolerate your lack-luster performance as a scholar. I said it once, I'll say it again: I pity you; but I add on this: I despise you. Your only friend will be your lifeless, malevolent mind, but how far will that take you, I wonder?"
She twisted her head to the side, "Do as you wish, Asinine. I will say no more to you, and you shan't waste your callous words on me."

Asinine let out a sigh, "Very well." He muttered, before giving a signal with his hand.
Servants immediately seemed to apprehend her and pull her away. "Don't tell father of this... Understood?" He said to a remaining person, who nodded. Asinine slipped a necklace free from his pocket, and handed it over. "Bring her to Hoshido, blindfolded. I'd rather not have a dragon attack my home anytime soon..."
With that the servant walked off, and with a group of others, brought the manakete maiden away, relinquishing the stone to her, once they finally let her go.
