The pint size mage, still within Hoshido, couldn't help but survey the surrounding area. He wasn't much of an adventurer, but he sought out a tranquil location, and that's where he found it... A small lake, surrounded by trees.
Gently rolling his wheelchair beside the lake, he looked down into the water. He didn't quite know how deep such a lake may be, and he didn't particularly intend to find out. Instead he tried to relax himself here, absorbing himself in the silence. He looked just as lifeless as always, but lifting a book up, from upon his lap, he began to read... Yet this caused a slight shift in his weight.
With a crash, the boy and his wheelchair toppled into the water. It wasn't too deep, but seeing as he was wheelchair bound, and his wheelchair was on top of his body crushing him, the boy couldn't get up. He grunted, as he tried to get free, before just giving up, his body going limp.
There was a disturbance on the surface of the water. A stranger had fallen in. The silhouette? Something inhuman, along with... ah.
A human had fallen in.
Glorious. She would've preferred a hairless monkey, or maybe a deer, 'cause she would've eaten that...
A feminine figure submerged from the depths at high speed toward the stranger, then stepped onto the shallows. It was a young woman, perhaps in her late teen years.
"Hmmm?" she said as she approached the stranger and his contraption, "Hmmm..." Perhaps if she were to pull on the side, it would be upright. The stranger was literally holding it up with his spine. What a weirdo.
She kicked the wheelchair so that it fell on the shallows, then grabbed it and pulled it upright. She circled around to look at the boy and leaned close to look at his face.

Asinine was perplexed by the sounds of splashing, followed by the feeling of his wheelchair forcefully flying off his body. His eyebrows twitched, as he lifted his head to breath, before seeing a lady stare right at his face. His eyes narrowed slightly, as he rolled over.
"If you're expecting a kiss, I must disappoint you." He said, as he sat himself up and glanced at her, his face bored as per always, as his eyes went back to their usual state. "I do hope your vocabulary doesn't consist of only a small sound, such as 'hm'."
"Help me back into my wheelchair." He said this forcefully, as he stared at her, lifelessly.
Rather than do as he asked, the young woman sat down in front of him and splashed the water around her briefly. Her visible left ear wiggled slightly as she studied the boy's face for a little while longer, her body continued to lean forward.
What a strange face. What strange skin! Why, even in all my years living in a cave, my skin never was THAT pale. He was like a walking corpse!
Her face was barely an inch from his as she studied his eyes.

Asinine glanced away uncomfortably, as his hand weakly pushed forward, against her shoulder, trying to move her away. "Just... Put me back in my wheelchair." He said forcefully, once more, looking straight towards his wheelchair. He didn't want to have to, y'know... Walk. That's crazy talk right there.
For a moment he glanced back, this female was such a peculiarity, if he wasn't wet, and muddy, he'd probably pay more attention to her. After all, she seemed to be an interesting human to study, or at least that's as he assumed.
If she kept staring at him like that, he was bound to use a little flames on her.
The young woman glanced at the wheelchair, then back at him.
So that's it, hm...
"Mmm... mhm," she suddenly moved in to hug him, pushing both of his arms against his person, and then lifting him off of the ground. What a scrawny little creature! With one good squeeze, she might break something!
She moved over to the wheelchair with him in her arms and then gently lowered him onto it.

Asinine was relieved that she could follow such a basic order. She still showed absolutely no sign of competence in speech. He continued to observe the lady, she seemed older than him, if only due to her height, and his lack of height. Then again, looking at her face, it seemed much younger than that.
"Good... Now... Who are you?" Asinine's voice spoke, his eyes examining her quite curiously, though he mainly tried to examine her face, after all, with the kind of clothing she had on, he greatly assumed he could be smacked right across the face, if he paid much attention to examining outerwear.
"Actually, let me start with this. Can you speak?" He said this with a dull tone, as he got into a comfortable position in his wheelchair. Hadassah
She sat back down in the shallow water and moved a little further into the lake. It was difficult to tell with her placid face, but she was suspicious of the boy. He was like a corpse! Who would trust a talking corpse with their identity?
Hm, instead, maybe she'll just give him minimal information. She won't give away much of herself... just enough to frustrate or satisfy him!
"Hmmm... Speak... little," she said with a small, yet gentle voice, "... words little. Mmmm..." Asinine

She can't speak much at all, Asinine was bothered by such a thing. "So, were you raised by wolves in that case... Or... Perhaps by dolphins?" He seemed rather displeased, as his arms folded tight against his body. What a primitive being... He thought.
Honestly, Asinine didn't care the most to stick around, but based on her suspicious behavior, he wondered if any knowledge could be gleamed from such an imbecile... He sighed, figuring he ought to determine that, before up and leaving.
Aha? So he's an unpleasant, thankless child. Given his haughty, stuck-up nature and his unusual chair, he must be someone raised by a rich noble! In her centuries of hiding in human settlements, she's seen a good number of ungrateful children become adults and die of misery.
Would this person also suffer the same fate?
"Hmmm... dahlfeens...?" she murmured with an accent, "Hmmm... wuvs... wulvesah?" She twisted her head to the side, "... Hmmm... me? Nah? Nah!" She shook her head, her long hair throwing water droplets around, "Hada! Me, Hada." Asinine

Asinine wasn't certain, he doubted it was that easy to be this stup-... He glanced down in thought... He honestly felt that it wasn't a possibility for someone to be this completely stupid, especially if they looked as old as she appeared...
He started to wheel himself back a bit, and then stared at her, trying to find any tell that she was being less than honest. "Well... Hada... People shake hands when they meet."
Hada withdrew cautiously as he held his hand out to her. Asinine? What a strange nickname for someone as condescending as this... perhaps that is why he is named so!
Biting the hand would result in a negative retaliation, so what's another way to play with this situation?
Aha. HIs sentences were long and articulated. A person who was not learned proper sentence structure wouldn't be able to comprehend it completely... of course, she didn't want to drive him away in anger...
"Name... Az-in-nine?" she said slowly, "Az...? Az. Az!" She pointed at him, "Az."
She liked the nickname she thrust upon him. Asinine

Asinine's hand lowered, as he looked to the side, and rolled his eyes. If she was just going to stay in the water, he was going to get pretty annoyed, if only he could get her away from the water...
Glancing back towards her, his eyebrow twitched ever so slightly. "Whatever..." He would never admit that this was getting to him, after all, he rarely had much emotions manafest themselves, else than slight annoyance, and boredom, but he was getting a bit more annoyed than he usually would... He couldn't handle the fact that this lady was treating him like he was stupid enough to fall for her little playing dumb tricks.
"So tell me, why are you so unbelievably idiotic?" Asinine said this with his usual tone of voice.
His eyebrow twitched, he rolled his eyes, his tone changed, and even his question was shifted to express his own irritation of her!
'Unbelievably?' Fuhohoho! Surely his vast vocabulary could've come up with a more suitable adjective.
He must already have succumbed to vexation. Why would he ask otherwise? Couldn't he have been more subtle with his questions? Hada felt the bloom of success in her chest.
The woman smiled coyly at his response to her before withdrawing toward the lake's edge. Her humming changed to a low, ominous chuckle, "Mmmmhm... mmhmhmhmhm... because it's entertaining to observe a frustrated intellect waste his precious time talking to someone he sees as an asinine life form." Her golden, snake-like eyes opened wide, "Tell me... why have you allowed yourself the pleasure of being my plaything?" Asinine

If Asinine was the smiling type, he may have cracked a small one, instead his expression went back to the default, emotionless. He couldn't particularly say he was the most pleased, as she spoke, however, the fact remained, he was correct in his assumption that she was trying to play dumb... After all, his goal had been to get her to stop.
Honestly though, he would've taken a bit more pleasure out of this result, if she didn't attempt to make him feel idiotic, or inferior in response. He'd much rather have scorched her, until she decided she wanted to stop playing dumb. Ah, so frustrating.
"Your plaything? Really now, I'm not a toy." He said, his tone going back to normal, as he relaxed a bit more against his wheelchair. "However, you've finally given me what I wanted, so I suppose I may just leave now..."
He started to turn around and roll away, however after a moment, he turned back to glance at the lady. "It's a pity... Foolish games like such, will you get absolutely nowhere in life." He taunted, his eyes having a dark glint to them, before he turned to continue rolling away.
