Fila sighs, watching her blast dissipate. Why couldn't he have just died. She would loot and desecrate his corpse eventually, no doubts about that. But not today it seemed. And a few of the still loyal mercenaries had burst in, ready to help. That was nice. The situation had improved somewhat. There was, however, something more pressing than any of that. Something hadn't quite hit her immediately, but as combat was joined it was readily apparent. Truthfully, there was no denying it. She wanted to, on some level. To not acknowledge it. The Madame had been betrayed. She had been betrayed. "I will make you suffer for this betrayal you gutless wretch." came the snarl from behind Fila, as dark mist ravaged the Mercenary's arm, filled with all the mercenary's rage. She was not truly "here", it could be seen in her eyes. She was reliving a thousand knives in the dark, a thousand times greed had won over loyalty, and left her bleeding in the dirt. She would not leave a single living soul in her path.1-100·1-100

In the instant she had used the Dragonstone, she had taken on a more regal appearance. Her scales were white, her horns were larger, and her wing arms boasted greater muscularity.
"I wanted to give you homes," she murmured, "I wanted to give you all a chance to avoid the greater conflict." She looked at the Fighter sorrowfully, "... But... now... now it's over for the Wyvern's Rest." Suddenly, her eyes burned in rage and spite, "... Maybe I'll have better luck with the personalities in Hoshido, huh?"
The eyelid of the mercenary twitched, "That's a low blow, Madame...!"

He attempted to swing the pommel into the Madame's stomach, but it bounced off of her scaly hide!
"Hmph!" she grunted, "Big deal!"
"'Big deal' this, Madame!" the fighter shrieked, "Nothing personal!"

The Madame backed away, letting the axe embed itself into the railing.
”Nothing... personal?” she murmured with a squint of her eyes.
The Madame took a step back and drew strength from Fila’s power!

Her mouth began to gather energy... aimed at the Fighter.

The force of her blast blew the Fighter apart and straight into ashes.
“Aaaaagh!” the mercenary screamed, he raised his weapon to attack the Madame once again.

One of her shots had missed the mercenary, briefly sparing him. Unacceptable, unacceptable.without even being consciously aware of it, she swapped out for the wind tome. The pathetic betrayer was on his last legs anyways, this would be sufficient to put him in the grave.

Furious gales rip the mercenary limb from limb, scattering his body over the balcony into the melee below.
Breathing heavily, the rage begins to die down as she returns to full awareness. "M-Madame, we should leave now." Her voice is breathless, the exertion of her rage leaving her slightly fatigued.1-100·1-100

Other than all the commotion coming from downstairs it was a night like any other in the inn. At least to chrim it was. In fact he was thinking that things downstairs were on the line of a drunken brawl or perhaps some intense gambling... At least that's what he thought until he heard the Madame's voice very loudly yell about things being personal now along with the place shaking afterword. "What... Is something wrong..?"
Quickly getting up from the bed he was trying to go back to sleep on he'd grab his sword and haphazardly throw on his cloak before running out of his room and downstair-... Okay perhaps it would be best not to take that way.. Looking around to try and find where the madame is he'd see that she is on the area looking over the battle below along with there being bits of what he can assume to be a body or bodies(?) everywhere. So quickly running to the wall he'd scale up it doing his best to not catch anyone's attention before jumping and grabbing hold of the railing would pull himself up to them.
"Madame! Are you hurt? Also what is going on in here, it's like a small battlefield. And which side is our enemy?"

The two mercenaries torn asunder, the Madame took one look at the damage that had been done in her one attack. The hot beam of fire she had blasted had ripped through other mercenaries that were approaching her, furthermore striking the wall of the inn and causing it to ignite instantaneously.
“Oops...” she murmured, “... That can’t be good.”
Suddenly, Chrim had appeared by their side... on their side. Was he sleeping the whole time?
“We’re on our own,” she answered grimly, “My staff are the only ones fighting for us.” She opened the door to her office once again, “Back in here! We’ll take the rooftop!”
In observance from downstairs, the Doctor scratched his chin and stood up, “Now... that is troublesome. Perhaps I shall intervene?”
Just as he said that, a large fireball struck him and exploded, causing him to stagger.
“Oy,” the old gaffer smirked, “You got biggah fish to fry.”
“Hmmm... indeed...” the doctor’s voice became guttural, “I would rather not resort to violence against an elder, nevertheless, you leave me few options...”
“Huh, don’t forget us,” the nine-tailed kitsune grunted, “It’s upsetting that you would even interrupt our business, Dr. Bergstrom.” The wolfssegner also approached after throwing off another dozen mercenaries off of herself.
“Mmm...” the doctor sighed, “... Janette, Margaret, Albert... honestly, I don’t know what to do with you all. Such dear servants to turn on me... very well, I shall not spare the rod of instruction.” He opened his mouth and appeared to charge a breath attack.
Behind the bar, Ursula’s group had taken shelter with Riley, who had started to chug down bottles of alcohol. She had looked over the side of the countertop and let out a sputter.
“Oh... great...” she mumbled, “He’s gonna do the thing...”
“What thing?” Ashton grunted as an axe flew over his head and stuck into the rum shelf, “Whoa!”
“Something... ice... field... mmm...” the bartender’s head drooped to the side as a stupor overcame her.
“This isn’t our business...” Polis spoke as she pulled Ursula’s body onto her back, “We need to leave now!”
“Will she be fine? Are you sure we can’t help?” Ashton murmured as he pulled the bartender onto his back.
Lucas glanced toward the kitchen door and motioned for them to follow, “Mom’ll be fine. Let’s go before we’re noticed!”

Fila hurries after the Madame, giving a short wave to Ursula's group as she leaves. They had another ally apparently. She hadn't seen this one around much, was fairly sure they were a recent addition like her. Didn't know their name, but they'd take what allies they could get at the moment.
"Rooftop? Isn't that a dead end?" Generally being cornered on the rooftop without means of flight was a death sentence in her experience. Unless... "Wait, can you fly both of us out of here?" she asked, disbelief evident in her voice. She knew that the Madame was a dragon, but to be that powerful... It was a little frightening, if also extremely interesting.

Following after the two of them while making sure nobody was behind the group he'd hear the other mercenaries question. At least he thinks they are a mercenary? ... He should really socialize more.... Sighing slightly at that last thought he'd glance behind a couple more times before also speaking. "She did pick up me and a boar at the same time while I was in my kitsune form. So I think the madame might be able to carry us both if that is the plan. Otherwise we may just be running across the rooftops."

“Honestly, you two...” the Madame sighed and shook her head as she shut and locked the door behind them, “I’ve done this more times than I can count, but honestly? I’m getting really tired of having to run all the time.”
She hurried to the bookshelf and pulled a bag from off of it, placing the old history book that Fila had read before and a few other things inside of it, then proceeded to a side window and opened it. She climbed out onto the roof and walked a little ways before her body instantly morphed.
Her dragon body was much, much larger than before, boasting a full thirteen feet in height, the size of a small house. The bag she had taken was around her neck, its pliable strap fitting tightly around the nape of her head.
“Hmph... it seems I will be destroying the inn with my ascent...” she sighed with a distorted voice, “... Well, it was fun, Wyvern’s Rest, but all good things must come to an end.” She glanced to the other two and opened her hands for them to climb in, “Listen carefully, you two, you can go your own way now, or you can come with me. My destination lies beyond the canyon, and if you think you cannot go there, you may escape in the chaos.” The roof began to creak at her weight, “Decide quickly.” chrimFila

Fila pauses. Was she willing to leave? She was fairly sure that Iago would personally rip her spine out if she tried to take military contracts from both sides (honestly, no respect for the impartiality of mercenaries, that one), but she had said she would help the Madame. Besides that...Well, Ethan was in Hoshido. And while his power terrified her, there were a lot of questions she had that only he could answer. such as: "what in the WORLD had happened while she was gone?!" And also "when did you get a wyvern?". These questions and more kept her up at night. She was very confused as to how her favorite sibling duo had suddenly started trying to kill each other.
"I said I would be with you all the way, Madame."

At her question chrim would glance to the mage as she answers before only shrugging and giving an answer of his own barely a second afterwords. "I am a wanderer by heart, your my employer and you are sort of a friend as well. So I'll be going with you as well Madame." Course seeming to think of something he'd smile slightly along with giving a light chuckle. "Also what kind of mercenary would I be if I abandoned you as my employer? I'm sure nobody would hire me ever again if they heard about that."
So with all of that said Chrim would walk over to one of her open hands and sit in it. After doing so he'd look to Fila. "Also sorry if it may have seemed like I was ignoring you. But I honestly don't know anyone else other than the Madame so I don't quite know how to talk to many other people.. Also due to the situation I didn't think it would be in our best interest to talk quite yet since there is danger."

“Ghk...” “Cold...” “That’s pretty dirty of ya’...”
The interior of the room became like ice, indiscriminately immobilizing and incasing those in the immediate vicinity. Margaret, Janette, and the old gaffer had been caught in the blast, ice encasing their being.
“I warned you,” the Doctor sighed, a mist of white blew from his lips, “Regardless, I believe it high time to intervene.” He strode past the mercenaries he had encased. “Honestly, the saying is too true: if you want something done, do it yourself. I cannot believe you fellows could not apprehend a single person!” Bat-like wings began to sprout from his back, “I will return to deal with all of you.”
“You ain’t gettin’ away with nothin’ ya...!” the old gaffer’s hand began to melt the ice upon his person, and in the next instant, he threw two fireballs at Janette and Margaret, defrosting the ice upon them. “Jan! Marge! We’re clearin’ out!” He tossed another blast at the Doctor, but he slapped it away and caused it to dissipate. Before he would counterattack, Janette leapt to his side and grabbed him by the scarf. Margaret bashed through the wall, and the three of them escaped out of the inn.
The Doctor observed their escape, “Hrrrmmm... so troublesome, so troublesome...” he groaned, “Why must you make things so difficult for me?” He turned to leave through the main entrance, yet...
The roof caved in, and in an instant, he was caught beneath the rubble.
Two minutes earlier...
The Madame nodded to them, a bared smile appeared on her maw, “Very well, then. Chrim, I would save conversation for later. We’ve yet to escape from danger.”
She reached out and gently took them both in either of her hands, then proceeded to press down upon the roof of the inn.
“Brace yourselves,” she warned with a huff, “And hold onto whatever loose items you have. I have yet to know my own strength.” Her chest pressed low to the ground, and in one, glorious bound, crushed the rooftop of the inn while leaping high into the sky. In an instant, the rooftop had caved in.
At the peak of her jump, the Madame unfolded her wings and caught the wind. With her two loyal mercenaries in her hand, there was no losing them in the sudden ascent.
“How are we?” she asked as she began to glide to the east.

Fila shivers as she sits in the palm of the dragon's hand. It was... extremely unnerving, to say the least. But she trusted the Madame. And that trust meant she only screamed a little when they took flight, holding onto the claw with a bone-tight grip as she tried very pointedly not to look down. "I ... fear that... my fellow will have to tell you that." she manages through gulps of air, eyes squeezed tightly shut. Apparently she did not like to be flying under another's power. It was not the best time to discover this, truth be told, but that was apparently life.

His reaction may not be as bad due to having flown like this before. Though it is still unnerving being very high up nonetheless. Hearing Madame ask if they are both okay and the other passenger's answer he'd give a light chuckle. "Well we are both alive and here though she may not like flying like this too much. Thanks for checking on how we are doing though."
And so with that said and there not being much else to do unless either of them want to talk, Chrim would place his hand's behind his head and close his eyes for a time... At least that was the plan but doing so made him start to become motion sick. So sighing at that he'd re-open his eyes and instead just look around at both of them and the scenery. "So what's the plan now anyways?"

“Ho... well, that’s good then,” the Madame responded, she looked out to the horizon, “The plan is to get over to the edge of the canyon without being noticed from both factions. It’ll be close, but the cover of darkness will keep us from being spotted.” She heaved a long, heavy sigh, “... Shame though, I was really getting used to living in Macarath. If it becomes like this every time, I really feel like nowhere is safe. Ingmar is selfish and methodical, but because of the occupation he’s chosen, a doctor, you see, he can easily manipulate people to help him. You saw it tonight when he turned... nearly everyone against us.”
With the speed they were going, the canyon was already in sight, and the atmospheric pressure began to change drastically. The warm front and humid air of the eastern nation began to brush against their skin.
“... I suppose the silver lining to all this is that you can experience the coveted fruit of Hoshido,” she said finally, “Maybe even start anew... whether you desire it or not.” chrimFila

Fila sighs. "I have... 'family' in Hoshido I would like to check on. Though our relationship is strained, they might be willing to help us." There were enough lies of omission in that sentence to write a story, but it was all Fila was willing to tell for the moment. She wasn't sure just how much either individual with her knew of the horrible things she'd done. and since one of those individuals was the dragon[/i] carrying them through the sky now was not a great time to confront those issues.
