Fila is out 5/16 HP. Fila's blood was pumping. The archer very nearly hit her square on, but Alisa's timely intervention made it a glancing blow. It still hurt quite a bit, and she couldn't quite hold back the scream of pain. Pain. Pain was anger, anger was fuel. With an almost feral growl, she rips power from the tome, and slings it with a frenzied wave of her arm at the brigand engaging Kyverian, the bolt curving with eerie precision to avoid harming her ally to instead scorch his enemy.

The Brigand is at -10/12 HP. The Brigand is extremely dead!
The Brigand, already weakened from the previous attacks, practically evaporated in front of Kyverian abruptly giving him an unobstructed path to the archers. "Hurry up and kill them already!" yelled Fila from the backlines, her voice considerably less composed then before the combat. 1-100

Alisa, on the other hand, refused to go any further. At least, until Fila required to do so. Thankfully, she was a mage. All Fila needed to do was stay put while Alisa did her best to shield her from harm. The Outlaws changed their focus, to better accomodate the fact that they were being rushed down by the approaching soldiers. One takes an aim for Kyverian, the other takes an aim for Thomas to slow down the approaching Nohrian Soldier.
1-100 Outlaw B's attack The arrow sails across the air, striking Kyverian, hitting him once again in his torso.
1-100 Outlaw A's attack The arrow slams against Thomas' armored shoulder, another soon followed after. But they both had barely pierced the plate, but the force was still felt.
1-6 Kyverian moves from Center to Inner Left
Kyverian grunts from being struck a third time, staggering about as he pushes himself forward. Despite being hit with arrows, the captain refused to go down before the fight had finished. Though slowed by the pain, he did not yield. The distance is gradually closed as Kyverian lets out a furious roar that demanded vengeance. The bronze sword is held firmly with both hands as he goes for the swing. (6/18 HP)

The bronze blade cuts through the Outlaw's armor, digging into the scalemail of his torso. The Outlaw staggers back, as it seems both combatants are now heavily wounded.1-4·1-100·1-100·1-6·1-100
Fila grins with vicious glee. Attack her allies would they? Oh no no no. Pinchushioning her was one thing, but she would not and could not abide harm coming to those she had promised to assist.
Shadows swirled once more around her hand, as she flung them at Outlaw A.

Fila sighed in disappointment as the bolt instead abused a nearby tree. Dark magic's infamously poor accuracy strikes once more. "Ah well, that was bound to happen at some point." She pats Alisa on the back. "Thanks for the save, at any rate." 1-100

Thomas goes rushing into the fray to aid Kyverian, moving in to finish off the Outlaw that Kyverian had so graciously wounded for the helpful Thomas to come charging in and finish off. Now, that left just one bandit, who was not so keen on dying like his comrades. In a true turncoat fashion, when greatly outnumbered, the Outlaw immediately decides to flee from combat!

The remaining Outlaw books it. He nearly drops his bow as he saw his comrade get cut to ribbons. Being the only survivor meant not sticking around. He had already deserted one battle, there was no point in not deserting a second time. Before the others could catch wind of his escape, the Outlaw was already well on his way to fleeing. However, Fila was able to land one last blow on his back. "Gah! Dammit!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, the searing pain leaving a scar that wasn't going away any time soon, "Wait till I-" He soon pauses to catch his breath, deciding to instead, spend all of his energy getting as far away from the hellscape as possible.
Kyverian chased after him, but gradually began to lose his pacing as the three arrows sticking out of his body hampered his movement. "Guh..." He kneels, one hand pressed into the ground to keep himself upright. The battle had finally ended, his adrenaline running with it. Fighting at the front had its price, but at the very least, everyone had made it out alright. "Thomas... Alisa..." His weary gaze glances around to find the two soldiers, whom promptly make themselves known. "Thomas here, I am fine, Captain." Alisa makes her way over, glancing back to Fila with a worried stare. She soon sets off to the caravan, to see what was important that the deserters targeted it.
"We...-Ergh... Managed to keep-" Kyverian pauses to grumble his frustration, pulling the arrow out of his right shoulder and tossing it aside. The plate armor held up, but it didn't do a good enough job. Thomas, despite being struck by two arrows, was completely fine. The extra layer of metal sure helped him out, at least. Soon enough, Alisa pries open a crate with her spear, rummaging about before she pulls out two bottles. Vulneraries, from the looks of them. One is tossed over to Thomas, who promptly catches it. Alisa soon makes her way over to Fila to offer the medicine.
"Here are you, Fila! You should drink up! The captain will make it. He's a lot tougher than he looks!" The vote of confidence was there, even if the Captain looked less than his usual stoicism right now. While Thomas aided Kyverian in removing the arrows to apply the vulneraries, Alisa returns to the caravan, to see what else had been left untouched or what hadn't been seized by the brigands.
While Alisa walks over to grab the supplies, Fila looks down at her own injures. Only one of the arrows was actually suck in her, and on closer inspect, it was neither barbed nor squad center in her leg; it had go to the side, and slipped out with only a small amount of blinding pain.
Alisa walked back to her, saying something. What she was saying was lost on Fila, because what was important was A) no one on their side had died, and B) Vulnerary. The dark mage snatched the bottle out of Alisa's hand with an urgency she would apologize for later, and quickly began applying it to stop the bleeding.
Once it was on, she stood up, tested her leg, and limped over to the rest of the group. She gave a thankful nod to Alisa before checking on Kyverian. "Glad to see you're alive, Captain."

The Captain inhaled, the pain slowly subsided as he gets a steady breathing pattern going once more. The vulnerary does an excellent job of closing up the wounds, once all three arrows are removed. The compliment turns his attention from off the ground and onto Fila, who was standing while he sat down to recover. "Of course. They were just deserters, not mages." Thankfully, Nohrian dark mages were on a far tighter leash than that of the common grunt. But it also meant they'd have more sway in the army, far more easily corrupted by political power.
A fact that Kyverian was more than happy would stay that way if it meant never facing a mage. "We're going to have to carry back the supplies... Or, at the very least, take one crate back." Thomas and Alisa share glances. Though, they were not injured in the slightest, the thought of carrying a crate back in their armor sounded just as exhausting as running in to do battle. Sure enough, Kyverian was back on his feet, moving over to check on the soldiers that had been downed upon their arrival. Both of them were still in relatively good shape, as far as living was concerned. But amongst the dead brigands was also dead loyalists that gave their lives to defend the convoy.
"Fila, how much can you carry with both arms?" Kyverian's attention shifted away from the defeated Nohrian solders and onto the dark mage, "Once I've these two back on their feet, we have much needed supplies to return to the village." Thomas comes over with one more vulnerary, passing it to Kyverian, who in turn uses it to get the downed soldiers back up and ready for more. "On your feet, Rest is for the dead." The two groggy soldiers glance side ways to their dead companions, a moment of silence to acknowledge their lives lost in the situation.
"Captain! We have one crate of vulnerary and three more filled with food!"
Alisa comes out from the wagon, a soft rattle of her plates as she jumped down. Spear held in two hands, she makes her way over to the gathered soldiers. "Thomas and myself can carry one, the other two can carry one together. We'd have to leave a crate behind, or somehow fix the axis on the front left wheel." Alisa soon turns to Fila with a smile, before she speaks once again, "You... wouldn't happen to know how to fix an axis, would you?"
It was true, mages would've shredded everyone but her rather quickly, and without any support a single brigand could prove troublesome, much less four. She was aware Nohr kept a close handle on its mage corps; she had been trained at the Ice Tribe, and as such had no leash but equal prowess. This put her in much higher demand than she normally would be, a fact that had kept her from starvation for three years. She looked over at the caravan. The crates were everywhere, and the cart itself was a wreck. Carrying the boxes back was good, but they didn't have many people. Wait, the commander wanted her to carry something? Oh dear...
Fila looks as Kyverian, then at her arms, then back with an expression that does not inspire confidence. "... One...?"
Thankfully, Alisa had a suggestion she might actually be able to help. Whether growing up in an area where you might have to be able to replace a laborer who died from the cold in the night, or helping three smugglers run a carriage through a checkpoint, you learned a thing or two about jury-rigging transports. "I might be able to help, yes." She strips off some of clothe and belts from the dead brigands and loyalists, then crouches under the caravan. "Alisa, can one of you get me a haft from one of the axes? Just the haft. And maybe a bow too."
After several minutes of soft cursing and frustrated tugging, Fila steps back, sweating with exertion. the caravan jumped slightly with every rotation of the wheel, and emitted constantly alarming creaks and straining noises just being stationary... But it did move.
"Let's get back quickly, I have no idea how long we have before the tension makes this thing explode."

The group shared a collectively blank stare, as Alisa seems to be all the more happy to help jury-rig the wagon back to capacity. But, from the looks the soldiers gave, captain included, they'd much rather walk with the crates than carry them all back. But, the wagon was now fixed, if slightly more worrisome that the cart might actually explode as they return with the supplies.
"I will handle the horses. Everyone else, walk. We cannot risk the wagon breaking down..." Kyverian gives an especially long stare at Fila when he mentions the wagon breaking down, moving onto the coach's seat and reigning in the horses. Soon enough, the caravan is turned about, the horses were probably the only thing that hadn't gone too far from the conflict. Once the two horses were re-installed into the wagon, Kyverian whipped the reigns once, to get the horses to trod down the path back to the village.
"We march!" He shouted, making sure the wagon didn't combust a few steps in before he continues on, like new. For the most part, Thomas and the other two soldiers thought it best to march behind the wagon, in the event it truly did explode. Alisa, on the other hand, thought Fila was merely jesting. Where ever Fila decided to walk, Alisa was sure to be there to keep company.
Fila meets Kyverian with a shrug and a grin, as if to say 'you could always carry them'. She smiles happily at Alisa in thanks for helping with the cart, stretching with a yawn after having to spend so long on her knees. The cart continues to shudder violently, but holds together.
The horses are hard to get hitched to the cart due to its shuddering, but they are eventually able to corral them.
Despite the shuddering and the danger, Fila seemed enamored with Alisa, chattering away and staying close by her in a very uncharacteristic way. It was a bizarre contrast with the professional mercenary they had seen before.

With the wagon now managed, all that remained was the long, quiet return back to the village. The wintry bitter cold continued to make itself a reminder as the traversed the snow covered forests. The beaten path back to the village might have felt like ages, for some. But for Fila, she'd hardly notice the time that passed, thanks to the plucky atmosphere that Alisa provided. One could hardly say there was a dull moment in her presence, eagerly listening to the mercenary with equal infatuation, if not more. Although whether Fila had asked or not, Alisa was all the more happy to let the mercenary where to find her, should she ever want to talk. There were few mages Alisa knew, much less women that were also combatants.
Kyverian, on the other hand, was content to listen from the coach seat. Asking about the personal lives of his own subordinates felt improper, as he never had to divulge his own personal life to his superiors. Soon enough enough, the village starts to come into view. Thomas is quick to point out the shape of what appears to be the village to the others, a collective sigh all around from everyone, save for Alisa. "Despite our loss of four soldiers, we did well. Good work, everyone." Kyverian eventually turns his attention to the pair of Fila and Alisa, though he was mostly addressing Fila, at this point.
"You're not bad with your tome. I had feared the worst when we met, but you've changed my opinion rather soundly. Keep up the good work, may we work again in the future." A curt nod soon ends his desire to speak any further, both eyes returned to the road to remain vigilant for any troubles. Although the village was now in view, one could never be too careful of further brigand attacks.
Sad as she is to draw the amazing conversation with Alisa to a close, Fila is just as relieved as the rest of them when the village comes into view. Especially since the shuddering of the cart was starting to become volatile. The horses were not happy, but at least they were coping. Sadly, they did not have someone like Alisa to keep them company.
Fila drags her attention (with great difficulty) away from her armored defender when Kyverian addresses her. Ah, compliments. Truly, she was being showered in validation today. A unique experience.
"Thank you Captain. You as well." A short reply, with a reflection of the same backhanded compliment. She paused the conversation with Alisa. It could be resumed once they were safely within the village walls, and she had atomized the jury-rigged axle before someone took a wooden pole through the chest.

Kyverian was all the more happy to get off of the wagon, once they had gotten it within arrow shooting distance of the village. He absolutely refused to bring something so dangerous to the village, let alone a few meters outside the village gate. Thomas and the two other soldiers share the same thought pattern, as they wordlessly hurry to get it off the cart. One by one, the crates are moved as close to the gate as they could manage, as Alisa handles the horse. The wild and frightened creatures are let loose, only to calmly be escorted away from the possibly explosive wagon.
Soon enough, everything seemed to have been in order. All four crates were removed with gusto. Kyverian decided it was best to make sure the cart was probably disposed of. With quick thinking and a desire to ensure they're not impaled with exploding shrapnel, he soon kicks the wagon back some. With enough force, it wheels away, just a tad further than where it had been prior to the kick. The captain soon hurries away, to the safety of the crate that everyone else had decided to huddle behind.
"Fila, how long until it explodes?" The captain peeks his plume tipped helmet over the edge, to get a peek of the inevitable doom that was going to be unleashed. They at least made it close to the village, before Fila 's jury-rigged axle decided to explode.
Fila hurriedly helps with off-loading the carts, recognizing that they had, at best, a few more minutes before it went off like a Bolting Tome.
By way of response, bolt of shadow chases the wagon as its kicked away, hitting it square in the axle. Instead of exploding into a cloud of lethal splinters, the point of intense strain is utterly obliterated by magical force.
Fila coughs sheepishly, blushing slightly. "I, uh, didn't really want to take the risk of finding out Captain." The wagon sags to the ground. Its seen better days, and though it could probably be converted into a fully operational wagon, it would take far less effort to turn it into several respectable bundles of firewood. v"I'll, uh, help with that if need be."
