There weren't many things that surprised Koume. Not anymore, at least. Wondering around Nohr for as long as she did had worked out any surprise that might've been left. Fighting in this tavern, a dead body at the end of this pathway, so on and so forth. That's why when she came upon Windmire for the first time, there hadn't been anything to faze her. The streets were empty, save for the common outlaw and the likes, with little to no businesses. There hadn't been any reason for her to go back. Until she heard of their "secret city".
Few times Koume had been surprised. She could say, without a doubt, that this was one of those times. The secret city had been nothing like the one above. Inns and stalls and everything a nice town was! There had been more life here than in all of Nohr. It was overwhelming to her at first. Several minutes did she stand there just taking in the wonder of it all. Something so bright and happy had been here this whole time. And right underneath Nohr's own capital city!
Even after she lost count of her visits, this place still amazed her. It hadn't been completely free of crime like in the world above, but it was certainly a lot nicer. Koume felt at ease here. With her hood pulled over her ears and her tail hidden by the cloak, no one tried to confront her. Not that she minded the confrontation. In fact, she'd go as far to say that she thoroughly enjoyed it.
So when she had found herself bumping into someone while exploring the stalls, she could all but feel herself shake with the possibility of a fight. It had been so long since her last one, after all.
Harley wasn't one for quiet of any sort. The loud hum of the bustling city caused a light yawn to pass through his tired expression, as he seemed bored with the fact that needless to say he hadn't found a target yet. Putting on a blank face he treaded lightly through the streets, his hands lightly clasped together. His appearance drew a few eyes, his bandaged frame being hard to not get worried over...
He broke into a cute grin as he felt the staring eyes, his mouth threatening to grow to an even more cruel seeming smile, but he wouldn't, he couldn't... If he did, well... Needless to say people would assume there's something wrong with him now wouldn't they.
Without giving himself much time to focus in on the figure, he noticed someone more than a bit shorter than him, but at the smallest glance, he assumed such a person would be well meaning. Not quite looking where he was going, or at least that's what he was leading people to think, he crashed into the peculiar girl, not too hard, but enough to pretend fall back on his butt from the impact. Albeit it was odd that him the taller of the two fell over, and not her as well, but he assumed that she wouldn't pay attention to that.
"E-Ehhhuh... I-I-I'm sorry..." He mumbled, large amounts of tears welling up in his eyes, as he tried to scramble to his feet, his hand slipping causing him to fall again. He let out an audible cry of pain as he hit the ground, his body shaking.
Koume watched the guy scramble and fall once again before letting out a pained cry. Was... Was he serious? The mixture of disbelief and disgust she felt was evident. Given the man's- kid's?- height, she was expecting someone who was ready to shoot back at her. Don't get her wrong, she enjoyed watching people in this position after a good fight. It stroked her ego now, yes, but Koume didn't want this yet. She wanted a fight. She wanted to scratch and punch and kick and scream, not some crybaby who couldn't handle a little bump from her... Unless this meant she had gotten much stronger in the past few days?
"Wow, you're kinda pathetic, aren't you? For someone so much taller than me, and a guy on top of that, you really can't take a hit." The bandages that littered the person's body had only reinforced this observation. She could feel the eyes on them now. Not that she could blame them. It was a pitiful sight. Normally she didn't mind the heated glares she received but this was Windmire! To receive them here, from the normally kind people, was a tiny bit painful. With a heavy sigh and swallow of her pride, Koume extended her hand.
"Get up. You look like a huge loser just shaking in the dirt like that." That seemed to please a few people. Ugh, she hated pulling the 'caring card'. It wasn't even her fault that he fell over! He should've been watching where he was going in the first place! And he was much taller than her anyways! What was he doing falling over and acting as weak as he did? How stupid. It wouldn't matter in the long run anyways. Koume would brush past him once he was standing and finish her shopping before leaving again. The whole incident will be long forgotten by the time she would return again.
"You need to watch where you're going. You're lucky we're here and not somewhere else, or I would've really given you something to cry about."
