Most soldiers preffered searching the southern points of Nohr for recruits; as they at least would be recognised there and not be targetted or messed with in an instant. However, with everyone searching there and the previous two recruiters 'disappearing', Naito decided it was time to have some extra recruits as well. Besides the Ice Tribe needed some sort of soldier to rely on other than those that despised non-humans. Let the other soldiers bother with the South. He would go home with a real prize of a recruit, if not multiple.
Naito had a close encounter and thanked his lucky stars. He had stopped perfectly still against a large tree as a group of dark cloaked mages walked by him, scanning around at a leisurely cruise. Likely a sweeping roam, a guard round of the territory.
The northern tribe members were bigger than Naito, but they were not quite as experienced as he was. They'd been preparing a feast, and Naito was now officially glad it seemed he was in a way welcomed. With the welcoming feast being prepared, he had a bit of time to look around the village and hopefully find someone that would be willing to join the Nohrian Army.
This was the test she had to take, huh? Amelia sat within one of the Ice Tribe homes. Scouting for signs of rebellion her ass. It was a horrible way to treat a new military unit. Sitting in the inclimiate weather of the Ice Tribe's mountain homes was absolutely awful. The long wool leggings she wore could barely help the situation, and the large clydesdale in the stables didn't fair any better. It was tazing, that's what this was. Amelia didn't know what she was getting herself into when she agreed to it. Had she known better, she would have pulled some other poor sod into her room and convinced him to do the job for her. There was a bit of regret in her decision to ally with Nohr. Despite her inner turmoil, the woman sat within a warm home drinking calmly out of a mug. The warm drink did little to thaw her frozen heart. She paid no attention to the rest of the tavern residents around her.
"You know, the sour face doesn't help miss." Naito chuckled as he walked up behind the new recruit Amelia. Naito felt like he should protect the new soldier, but at the same time he could tell she was somewhat experienced. Looking at her drink and then to the tavern owner, Naito raised his hand. "Two more of those please." This was his offer of congratulations to Amelia as well as his own drink. "So miss, what made you decide to join the iron brigade? We're not exactly the most well liked force you know." It was true. They werent liked due to the violence they displayed in most battles.
Her sharp gaze turned to the male soldier that approached her. Any bit of sourness had left her face. She had not realized that the stern face she held had managed to slip in that moment. Perhaps she let on that the frigid mountain air bothered her more than she would like to admit. The woman scoffed at her companion and turned her head to the side. "People often need an iron fist to point them in the right direction. Peace can solve nothing." It gave only a little bit of her opinion on this. If this man was looking for information on her past, he was sadly mistaken.
The female's scoff was everything he needed. As long as she was okay, he wouldn't mind the fact that such a green soldier was here. In fact he was damn proud of it. It meant she was willing to do just about anything to get the job done. "Even those peopel do deserve a gentle touch at times though." He spoke like that of one whom had received both the harsh reminder that this is war ass well as the one that preferred being soft.
The woman turned her head to give the man a very dry look. It was very apparent that she was not amused by his statement. "A gentle touch solves nothing. Gentle touch, after gentle touch shows that you are soft. It shows that you're willing to bend a knee. Pretty soon, people will be stepping all over you. Nothing slides." Unless it is her. Amelia's life had been formed by skirting around the rules. Both with the assistance of her father, and then through her own means. The world was her play thing. "I was not aware that the Nohr army was now going soft." She quickly glanced the man up and down, seeing a few adornments upon him, "A captain no less."
The woman stood from her chair and crossed a hand in front of her, touching her chest gently. She never broke eye contact with the man. With a delicate nod of her head, she showed her superior the respect he deserved. "Amelia Crest. I am a Cavalier unit, ex-captain trained in Izumo. I carry knowledge and connections from my home country."
The dry look said it all. She didn't like the gentle touch. Perhaps he should stop playing games and focus on the true matter of hand. "A gentle reminder never hurts, but what you said is also true, if we are too gentle they will get bold. Boldness, for us is a bad thing is it now?" He asked as he finally sat down and then turned to look at the men and women around the tavern. "So your a foreigner stuck in this war we are having. A Cavalier, so you must be some sort of lady." Naito smiled and then nodded, "Yes, a lady cavalier, i do like the sound of that. Based on your personality so far i would guess youre the type of woman that loves warm nights?"
Now he was just being downright cruel. The way he was talking had shifted from the nice guy act to who he really was.
"I am not stuck," she admitted to him. "I have picked this path of my own accord." There was a light furrow in the woman's brow from his words. The man's tone hadn't been gentle. Amelia couldn't quite grasp what he had intended with the meaning of 'warm nights.' Not at first. The approach she took, however, would give it a new meaning. The place she stayed was so cold and uninviting. It simply would not to for a woman of her stature. A captain, however, surely he would be graced with better accommodations. The woman pulled her lip under her teeth and bit it gently while her body swayed in an approach to the male. "What woman wouldn't love a warm Knight?" She asked him. She was close to him. Her words grew quieter as she spoke - more sultry. "Especially in the cold snowy weather that these mountains provide. There is nothing greater than the touch of a strong man's arms. We stay close and keep each other warm. Our bodies just a breath away. Why do you ask, Sir Naito? Would you like to volunteer?"
"not stuck? Well of course youre not. I was just saying youre stuck, here with me for now." He laughed slightly before downing the rest of his drink and then lightly wondering just what it was that she was aiming for. Something felt off, but he couldn't pick it out. Shaking his head slightly, he concentrated on her. When she started approaching him with the sway of her hips, he was almost mesmerized. The way she spoke about a knight was so intoxicating. Gulping slightly, he looked into her eyes and then smiled.
"Then what are we waiting for Amelia?" Naito asked as he kissed the top of her hand in a gentleman's fashion.
The woman listened closely to the sounds of their breathing. For a moment his had changed. That gulp spoke numbers to Amelia. Captain Naito was a big talker. He was trying to charm her, yet Amelia questioned just how much experience he had with women. She wondered just how easy it would be to walk all over him. Amelia pulled her hand back and looked at it. She held it gently in her other hand and cooed softly, "My dear captain, you flatter me. But surely you can see I am a refined woman." Amelia then leaned in close and whispered in the man's ear. Her breath hot against the sensitive skin of his neck, "Take me someplace we can be alone."
