Lisette glanced around the tiny shop, as only a few candles seemed to light the building. It was the same as always, at least, as she saw it. Holding a small lantern, she walked over to hide the key to the little box she held money in, and then slipping away she sighed. Today wasn't the best, business wise, if it kept up like this, she'd probably have to eat a little less than usual, next month.
With a quiet, lack of enthusiasm of an approach, she headed to the door, her eyes glancing around. Every night, she couldn't help but be paranoid about every little thing. Her grasp on the lantern, shook ever so slightly, as she made her way out the front door, and glanced at the crowds. She sighed lightly, before beginning to walk off.
As shrill voices assaulted the bunny ears that stood alert on Lisette's head, she let out a panicked shriek. The lantern she held, fell from her hand, crashing loudly upon the ground. Her eyes seemed wide, as she backed up, bumping against the bandit who stood behind her, as her eyes started to well up with tears, as she rushedly spoke.
"I-I-I ahm I don't.... D-don't ki-i-i-i" Her voice got swallowed up by her panic, as she glanced back and forth, hyperventilating in a panic. The rabbit girl had always been sensitive to shouting, and threats, and anything scary, and having crippling paranoia in the first place, she could barely move.
"Key, Gin-Gin! Kill, take key!" the rear bandit shrieked as he seized the taguel by her arms.
"Key! Keeeey!" the other mugger squealed as it raised its knife.
As the arm was came high, the hilt bumped against a soft object, prompting the knife-wielder to freeze in place.
"Gye?"
Upon turning, the looter came face to face with the enormous silhouette of a large horse. He cried in shock, causing the steed to suddenly rise in the air and stomped down on the ground. Gusts of wind blew as ashen wings beat the air, causing the cloaks of the two dwarf thieves to fly off.
"Sup?" a deep, thick voice spoke, almost as if from the throat of the horse.
In that instant, a sudden rush of wind threw the thieves in the air, causing them to crash into a nearby alley.
"You alright, kid?" the horse seemed to say. Lisette
Lisette was shocked, actually a bit confused, about how quickly the thieves weren't near her. She breathed a breath of relief, as she clutched at her chest, trying to calm down her panicked heart beat. It took a moment before she glanced over to the person who saved her.
A horse? No even she wasn't dumb enough to think it was a horse talking. "U-Um... Yeah... Thank you, sir...?" It was so dark out, she couldn't tell if the person riding the horse was male or female... Despite the deep masculine voice, she was somewhat paranoid it was a lady with a deep voice, who would get really mad at her.
"I really appreciate you helping me!" She said, in a slightly cheery kind of tone, it was fake, but she didn't want it to sound fake. She insecurely pulled her ears back.
The pegasus moved alongside the taguel and folded her wings, revealing the fellow speaking. A rough-looking fellow with a lithe physique, whose raven hair draped dirtily over one side of his face. His visible eye was of clear-blue color and held a naturally fierce glare.
Of course, while it may be a glare, he was simply awed by the rather colorful taguel girl before him.
She was... pink! Very pink! It was amazing how pink she was! It was as if the great Rafael himself decided to push his color palette to the maximum with the brightest of pink colors. There was no doubt about it... she was an artist of sorts!
"... You're welcome," he murmured as his eye continued to scrutinize her outfit, "... your dress is really nice." Lisette
The taguel seemed to glance up at the stranger, before promptly avoiding eye contact. How menacing, and scary looking, even if he did save her. What if he hit her, for wasting his time? What if he only helped, so he could rob her store instead? She gripped her little lantern tightly, trying to push such paranoid thoughts out of her head. The stranger's voice slightly broke up the thoughts within her.
His voice was somewhat scary, and she couldn't help but be unsettled as he spoke. "Ah, aha!" She darted her free hand up, as she motioned with her words. "Thanks, I made this dress myself! I'm a tailor! My name's L-Lisette!" Crud... She was saying too much information... She needed to shut up, and calm down.
