Fading echoes of battled stained the room before the long hall leading to the fourth room. The hall itself was rather cramped. Large crates stacked against the wall. Battered barrels, filled with liquids and foods, dotted the ground. The hall finally ended with a thick door. They pushed it, but it wouldn't give in. A hard shoulder finally pushed it open. The room, dubbed four, was a storage of sorts. Larger crates cluttered the northern wall. Tables held cases, all of varying make. It seemed this was some type of hoarding room.
"Who?" A brigand stood up. "What the hell!" "Filthy thieves. You can't steal our stuff!" A second brigand yelled.

"Oh we got ourselves a joker over here."

Northella was in shock the moment the door opened. She'd hoped to come into an empty room or fight against Zhara instead they ended up in a storage area and two unhappy came charging at them. Luckily, Ethan stepped in the way when she really should have shielded the both of them. He struck with the slyness of a fox commenting on the fact they were here to steal already stolen items. It was these words that brought her back to her senses but not before the first attack hit.
Ethan took it and suffered some damage to his shoulder yet he managed to raise his sword arm and strike back just as quickly. This cut hit across the man's chest, however, it wasn't very deep. Northella In response to this attack mustered her own courage and lowered her naginata down across Ethan's shoulder so she could strike the first brigand with the end of her long lance blade while resting its pole across his uninjured shoulder. She hoped that it would be much more successful than Ethan's attack. She needed to support him though, and rather quickly in case, the second brigand attacked.
“You should look where you’re aiming missy I’m in the room too!” The voice of the second brigand cried. They speedily slipped past Northella as she was moving to support Ethan swinging their sword wildly at her rib cage. She braced her muscles for a harsh gash against her skin but prayed her armor held. It definitely looked like she wouldn’t have time to help Ethan since she had to deal with this guy.

By a stroke of luck the man's attack totally missed her! She didn't feel a thing. "What a relief..." she uttered to herself. She then out of anger swung her naginata around and gave up her attack against the first brigand. This second guy had to be taken care of as she aimed the blade for the center of his back.

"This'll be over soon I hope!" she shouted to Ethan. "I'll come help you then!" She didn't like to leave him by himself after the damage he sustained but had she just gotten lucky here where he had not? She felt certain that was the case for he seemed to have a far more experienced air about him now compared to when they first met.1-100·1-100

Turn one
Ethan's gray eye widened. Northella had said something, but her words were lost to confusion. His hands tightened around the sword's ribbed handle, knuckles whitening. The blood seeping down his arm felt warm. It made itself known with stinging vengeance. Fear? Was that it? He though himself stronger, yet his damage didn't seem as deep as the brigands. As Ethan contemplated his sudden weakness, he froze up. The brigand smirked. "Seems you've trained your tongue more than you sword arm! You're weak! And I'll see you dead!"

Was he getting too reckless? Rushing too fast and not practicing properly. Not practicing at all. And now it was going to cost him his life. Ethan flashed worried eyes towards Northella. "Is the woman thing stronger than you?" The brigand chastised. "Come on Blue! Get up!"
Ethan rose on shaking knees. He took his sword, shaking his hair from his eyes. He crept forward, sword out defensively. The wanderer eyed them for a second, before launching out.

"He! He! He! Seems death's inevitable for me. But if I go down your partner's taking your friend along with me." The swordsman insisted he was going to level hiss sword out as he brought it out in front of him at arm's length and attempt an overhead slash. Northella saw this as he moved quickly again with his feet into a fast shuffle. She could deal with this guy at any time, however, Ethan was in danger. The slightest look back at him attested to this with his shaking knees and the way he held his sword. Ethan she sensed was doing damage but not nearly as much as she somehow had.
"I'm coming to support you and our next attack!" She cried. Though she really felt the need to deal with this weakling before her too. His sword came down at her right shoulder as he closed the small gap between them. She crouched on her knees and held up her naginata so it rested in two hands. She was going to push him and his blade back then counter strike with a fast shove of either the blade end or the pole into his gut.

This time it was clear hit, however, Northella heard a loud "Clang!" The sword the man was carrying bounced off her pauldron and snapped in half. The blade, which was three feet long, soon became an unimpressive one and a half feet. She was going to end this with all haste and help Ethan so she pushed forward with all her might and rammed the butt of her spear right into the loser's gut.

"Rawr!" A war cry filled her lungs and even though her power from before wasn't nearly as aggressive she lashed out with a fierceness only displayable by this big tsundere woman. "Die! Mr. Brigand!" The butt of her naginata went right into his stomach.
The evil man felt his gut collapse with this blow. His hands shook even more then before he dropped his weapon for the last time. "Well played missy... My partner's gonna' wallop you and protect our stuff."
Northella stopped chuckling lightly then wheeled around to deal with the remaining warrior. She couldn't see a way to step into that fight yet for they were battling so fiercely. Therefore, she had to wait for her chance.
The brigand watched his ally fall. Then turned back to Ethan. "Lady, when I'm done here there isn't going to be anything left to support. Die!"

"Look at that." The brigand said as liquid life dripped down his hand. "I think we might have to call you red now."
Reaching into his jacket, Ethan drew a small dagger. Shaking hands lifted it up.
"Come on armor lady? You scared?" The brigand taunted.

"Oh no! I still need to help Ethan !" Northella mentally thought to herself. She could feel that his life force was fading but so was the bandit's both were tired after swinging their weapons at each other and now Northella knew that if she didn't follow up for a second attack soon all was going to be lost, however, the band with his big lance was much quicker then her. If she failed on her second attack Ethan had a high chance of dying.
"I'm going to end this batle! That's why I'm not scared!" she retorted. Her muscles twitched under her armor and with all that she had she stepped in towards the brigand and swung her bronze naginata with horizontal slash at his guts. Both arms went into trying to cut him down. "I ain't gonna' lose!" Northella was going to help offensively as much as possible since Ethan getting cut down like Swiss cheese.

Northella could hear a loud clang as her blade hit his torso, however, he cackled at her and stated, "Do you think that'd work on me?" He lowered the waist line of his pants slightly to reveal a large belt with a giant silver golden buckler attached to it with a dragon's head design etched into it. "I can't be killed by the likes of you cause I used my hard earned monies on the ultimate protective equipment! A Dragon's Shield!" He hadn't budged an inch either from her mighty swing and that meant he could clearly take a beating.
She looked to Ethan and whispered, "I'm sorry he may just kill us both." She was as healthy as she was going to get, however, with the kind of strikes Ethan had taken she was afraid now he'd die in this man's next opportunity with her following.
Suddenly the man let out a loud "Gah!" he looked down and found a small scratch size wound cutting through the side of his ribs. "When..." he uttered growling fiercely at Northella and Ethan. His eyes narrowed in on her allowing for Ethan to make another potential attack now that his guard was down. He went for it faster then her eyes could witness slashing at man with indescribable skill.

That clearly wasn't honed at all! He completely missed the wounded man. Northhella wanted to face palm herself watching her comrade's ineptitude. She remembered him saying a while back that he was a fisherman so it honestly made sense why he couldn't hit an injured man literally and figuratively but this was ridiculous. Northella remained on guard though waiting to see what would happen next. Yet that wouldn't come for the man they were fighting collapsed moments later.

Naginata still in his body, Ethan drew the small dagger from his jacket and stabbed at the brigand. The man pulled back, momentarily surprised from Ethan's hit. The wanderer stumbled back.
"Don't." Ethan stammered out. "Don't apologize."
He watched in confusion as the brigand dropped dead. In truth, he had lost a lot of blood and really wasn't sure what NOrthella did to win but he was happy nonetheless. "Twice now." The wanderer said. "That's twice you've saved me. I'd call you a guardian angel, but you're a bit too scary for one." He dropped down. "I'm just going to take a moment."
