Indignation is a Fire Emblem Roleplay. It takes place within the Outrealms as worlds collide and kingdoms wage an endless war. However, amongst the quarrels of men do the horrors of the Outrealm reach in to kill and destroy. Fight alone or join forces with other warriors as we create dramatic tales or wage war!

Penny for your Trouble

As the scoundrel scoured the desolate path, he stayed up within the trees, perched to jump anyone who may come by. However, unfortunately, the road was empty currently, a yawn escaped him, as he waited impatiently. Getting money could be such a pain, but eh, a guy has to do what he has to do.
Eventually someone did seem to pass by, and quickly leaping to the ground, he dashed past them, grabbing a sack of gold as he did so, before swiftly getting back into the trees, in order to count the money.
A knight walked down the beaten path with a donkey in tow. There was another with him, an old man of low countenance and frail physique who was mounted on the burdened animal. A wretch by most means, but that mattered little to the most noble knight. It was second nature for him to assist those who had difficulty traveling!
"Such a good fellow you are," the old man's raspy voice spoke, "There are few so affable on this hard road to the capital..."
"Ahh, mention it not, sir!" the knight declared with his naturally heroic tone, "It is a privilege to help those in need! Upon what honor is left in this unworthy vassal, I shall carry you up mountains if you need!"
"Oh, oh, that won't be necessary, good man... my village shouldn't be too far from here..."
There was a fast movement in the corner of the knight's eyes. He felt his belt briefly... ah, good, it was still there.
"Oh... oh... where did my money bag go? Oh, dear... I had it just a moment ago."
The knight twisted his body around and let out an exclamation, "What this?! Good sir, could it be that you have been robbed?!" He was not victim to theft... but his traveling partner was?! How neglectful he had been!
"Ehm... just now, I suppose..." the old man gave a small nod, "My, my... I keep my daughter's handmade charm in there... ohhh... what to do..."
The knight quickly brandished his lance and stood aside. There was a few falling leaves in some area away from them.

As Rui fished through the money bag, he sighed. What a crappy yield, this guy had to be the poorest of the poor. The young man grumbled under his breath, as he pulled out a charm... It was cute, not really his taste, looked like it belonged to a girl. Strange, the man he stole from was quite clearly not a girl. "Probably worthless if he likes this kind of thing." The man grumbled, until he felt his tree begin to shake.
Rui wasn't the type to freak out about something like this, as he ever so casually maneuvered into another tree, while watching the person who just attacked, from behind leaves. "Really now, are you trying to scare me? You just look like an idiot, who enjoys beating up trees."
He kept himself silent, as he waited for the knight's reaction. Shoving the gold from the sack, into his own sack of gold, he held the little charm, before chucking it far far off into the distance. He didn't want it, and let's just say he wasn't the kind to give such a thing back.
"Not so much a fool as a burglar who takes from others, scoundrel!" the knight proclaimed with a loud voice, "I am a man of justice, and I shan't allow you to do as you please!" He continued to swing and stab at the thief, aiming ahead at his feet.
Granted, he saw where the charm had gone, and after he had driven off this interloper, he would go off to retrieve it.
"Begone!" the knight roared as his strong slashes brought down branches, "There is no place in Hoshido to hold a plunderer such as yourself! I say! May your days be numbered from this day forward!" Rui (Discontinued forevs)
