Asinine blankly glanced downward, as he started to adjust himself back in his seat, his legs moving slightly as he mainly used his hands in order to do so. Lifting his head he glanced around, he couldn't help but wish for one of the only things he ever ate, in order to drown out the taste, but it was unlikely he'd come across such things in this horrendous country... If only he was back in Nohr.
"... Understood." He muttered out, as he looked around. "The nurses in Nohr, never have tea..." It sounded almost as if he was whining, yet his face didn't betray the state of blankness that it seemed to consistently possess.
Cas winced involuntarily at the mention of the other nation. She was only thankful that she was behind the man at this point. She didn't want to risk him seeing her reaction to his possible home nation. It wasn't as though Cas hated Nohr and it's people, but the name made her want to recoil. She had walked back to her place behind the counter, a careful eye trained on the young man while she mindlessly stirred her tea.
"I am by no means a nurse. A healer, maybe." Cas shrugged slightly. "Tell me, what do the nurses in Nohr use?" The name felt bitter on her tongue. She only hoped the sweetness of her tea could wash it out as she took a large gulp.
Asinine rested his head on his shoulder, as he lightly grabbed one of his arms with his hand. "I suppose they simply give me cake, and the occasional vulnerary..." He mumbled out quietly. "Sometimes they try to make me exercise, however that never works for them."
He shrugged his shoulders a bit, and then glanced towards her. "Do you have any milk?" The speed in which he changed the subject was a bit sudden, however that was the only liquid he assumed she may have, that he assumed could wash away the dreaded taste.
Cas nodded and took in the information. While Nohr left she feeling resentful, it's culture fascinated her. That culture began and ended with their medical learnings. How they healed, and rumor has it procured potions, was something she found endlessly interesting. A chance to watch them work would make her week, but the thought of stepping foot into that place left her feeling nauseous.
"Cake isn't a bad idea. Maybe I can try to bake the herbs into a sweet." The idea was something she would definitely have to try later. If she were being honest an herbal sweet didn't sound very appealing, but it was at least worth a shot. The topic change had caught her by surprise. She blink once, twice, before she finally registered the question.
"I believe so, yes. I'm not sure you should drink it though, with how you reacted to the tea and all." The thought of drinking milk after nearly vomiting didn't sound right. Still, she brought the cup of milk for him. Along with a few clean rags just in case.
Asinine stayed mostly still as she spoke on. He had to agree, cake herbs would be better than that putrid beverage he had been given. As soon as the milk was placed in front of him, however, he grabbed the cup and took a sip. Perhaps to most people, this would harm them after almost vomiting, but this was the only drink he was accustomed to. His taste in food, certainly accentuated his childlike appearance.
He started to turn his wheelchair around, still holding the milk. "I'm fine with milk..." He stated quietly, as he started wheeling away, as if to leave, with her cup in tow. "I'm going back home now." He said, as he seemed to wheel further and further off into the distance.
Cas was honestly surprised that he didn't vomit after the first sip. Just the thought of drinking milk after such a reaction made her feel queasy. The man drank nonetheless and was turning to leave. She was close to saying her normal farewells once a customer left, even going to open the door to help make it easier for him, but then realized her cup was still in his hand. Was he seriously going to leave with it? Cas frowned. It faded as quickly as it formed once she saw the little stack of tea bags sitting on the counter. She worked quickly to collect them and place them in a small pouch.
"Hey mister!" Cas hopped over the counter once again to hand him the pouch. "I think you also might have forgotten to leave that mug here..." She mumbled slightly, unsure of how to properly bring up the topic without sounding accusing.
Asinine glanced back at her confusedly as though he didn't realize what he was doing wrong, "Hm...?" Asinine's eyebrows furrowed, unsure what her issue was. "I asked for milk..." He mumbled out, as he took another sip, and continued rolling onward. I mean, he didn't actually plan to come back to her little dwellings to return it or anything, I mean maybe after he got to Nohr, he could send someone to bring it back?
He didn't really care.
"Oh... I forgot the tea..." He mumbled out, as he grabbed the pouch. Without a thank you, he continued to leave.
Cas opened her hand then quickly closed it into a loose fist, her lip becoming a tight line. It wasn't like the cup was special or anything. It was actually fairly new and hadn't been used until now. She used the same mug for her drinks, as did her uncles and aunt with their own respective mugs, so it wasn't like it would be missed. Maybe it was the nice weather, or maybe it was because the man had giving her over 50 gold pieces extra for the tea, but she decided to let this one slide.
"Thank you for stopping by. Have a safe journey, and please come back again." Cas smiled lightly, opening the door for him as he exited.
The young man lifted a hand casually, to signify a wave, as he wheeled himself out of the store. He didn't really know if he intended to come back, but perhaps he would, if destiny forced him into this hellish country again. Oh how he wished to stay at home and play with his dolls, instead of travel.
Regardless, he bid a silent adieu, using no words, and went on his way.
