Indignation is a Fire Emblem Roleplay. It takes place within the Outrealms as worlds collide and kingdoms wage an endless war. At the start of every round, this unit may roll under their SKILL stat. If the check succeeds, then this unit recovers five health points.
A tenacious warrior as he was stalwart. But, revealing every detail of his mind like some book was not going to be an easy task. A soft scoff escapes from him at the mentioning on what truly made Kyverian work as he does. The vulnerary had done it's job, at least. He soon rises to stand, helmet still underneath his arm pit as he soon decides he'd much rather have it on his head. Not too long after his short rest, Kyverian soon stands watch over the medical treating.
Some injuries were nastier than others, but overall, they were all going to make it. At the very least, some of them would have a new scar to brag about when they return to their posts. But for Kyverian, there was not much else to discuss. There was still a war raging on, bragging about a few new scars felt insignificant in the grand scheme of things. But right now, his attention was on The Madame as she treats the Nohrian soldiers.
There's a slight, curious tilt of his head, leaning to the left as the purple plume of his helmet sways in the same direction. Both arms are crossed in front of his chest, keeping a good distance away while still being just close enough to observe and learn a thing or two. Treating wounds, as well as his own, was definitely something he wouldn't mind picking up. Unfortunately, voicing such a thing was never likely to happen. At least the captain was content with watching, a thumb soon planted underneath his chin as he circles half-way around to the right. His head and plume soon tilted from the left and now onto the right.
One soldier in particular couldn't help but smile at the sight of his captain learning new ways to tend to wounds, all without bothering to ask rather than peep.

“You hit your head, yes?” ”Y-yeah, kind of woozy right now...” “I see. The vulnerary didn’t help any?” “It worked with the wounds, but...” “Yes, yes, your brain got knocked around. There isn’t much I can do for it except keep your head under wrappings. Give me a second... there. While I recommend you don’t move so much, that isn’t too big an option for now. Hey, hey, look at me. For now, I don’t want you to be one of the first ones to fight if this happens again. The next blow you get to the head might be your last. You need to stay in rear support, understand?” “Yeah... hey, Madame? Thanks for everything.” “Sure, darling.”
The other two had their wounds wrapped in gauze and bandages after treatment with vulneraries. With some assistance from the Madame, armor was put back all in their places, and the troupe regrouped themselves to the captain.
As they did, the Madame came alongside the unconscious Vinny and glanced him over. “Tsk, this fool,” she clicked her tongue. She slipped her index finger in her mouth and stuck it in his ear.
“HY-HYEEEH! HYEEEEH! HYEEEEEEEEH!” Vinny shrieked, his arms and legs flailed about before he fell off his mule. The man scrambled to his feet and, having noticed the drool from his mouth, wiped it away. “What’th happening? What’th going on?!”
The Madame rolled her eyes, “We’re continuing the march.” She glanced to Kyverian, “On your go, Captain Alto.”

At the start of every round, this unit may roll under their SKILL stat. If the check succeeds, then this unit recovers five health points.
The captain managed to learn a bit more from The Madame and her knowledge on medical skills. It was enough to realize that his own medical skills could still use improvement. Though, he never paid too much mind to such matters, preferring to leave it to the medical staff. Yet, it never hurt to learn when he could. Upon the Madame's eventual turn towards himself, he soon stands upright. "We've delayed long enough. We need to push through before more bandits show."
It was a reasonable deduction, turning away from both the Madame and the soldiers to lead point, as he had done so before. Unlike the first time prior to the ambush, Kyverian was going to lead with his sword drawn. There'd be no persuading him from such an action, not when he was now alert and on the watch for further bandit activities. "If there are no further injuries that need attending... We move." The Captain pivots in place, turning towards the path of their destination and marching.

“You heard the man,” the Madame nodded, “Let’s get moving.”
“H-hold up! I-I-I still need to get back on the donkey!” Vinny stammered as he attempted to throw himself onto the mule. He only managed to latch on before his small legs were being dragged across the floor.
With a small sigh, the woman pushed him up by his buttocks back on the animal, then slapped the donkey’s rear end gently. “Go, come on,” she whispered. The mule let out a hoarse bray before it started back on the trail.
The Madame kept to the back end of the caravan and kept a steadfast watch on the surrounding trees. Possibly the only misfortune she could feel is that this march would really be a songless trip. Kyverian

The battle was fresh on the minds of the soldiers. All of them couldn't get the thought of the deserters off their minds. The cold nights, the lack of crops during the harsher seasons, as well as the rampant corruption weighed on the minds of the people. Desertion into banditry, all to ensure one's own survival. The soldiers marched to the sound of their own plates rattling. All of them had elected to remain in somber silence, the same brand Kyverian ascribed to.
One of the soldiers, the one that had suffered a concussion, came from around the right side of the convoy to relay a message. "Miss... The captain wants to speak with you..." The soldier soon returns to guard his side of the convoy. Whatever Kyverian wanted to speak had to be important. There were few things he'd ever say, even fewer to who he'd share his thoughts with. But there was much to speak to the The Madame with.

There was some regret to be had when it came to keeping one’s word. Watching the rear guard was excruciatingly boring, especially since she hadn’t the freedom to wander about as she did earlier. Thus, when her concussion patient came to her by request of the captain, she was thrilled.
“Right, right,” she nodded, yet she wiggled a finger to him, “But for the record, you will also call me Madame. Comprenez vous?”
”Er... yes, Madame.”
“Good.” Straightaway, the woman briskly moved forward until she was walking astride Kyverian. Just overhead, it appeared as though snow began to fall.
“Here I am, captain,” she announced quietly, “I can only imagine the things on your mind after that little kerfuffle.”

There is a long, dull silence from the captain, upon the mentioning of a kerfuffle. He had never heard anyone, no one, describe such a event as bizarre a word as kerfuffle. In fact, the silence prolongs, a slight tilt of his head as the curiosity eventually reverts back to his guarded expression. "There are details missing. Namely, how you handled yourself." Not once, did he see The Madame draw a weapon. No tome visible, no method on his own part to understand how she fought without so much as a scratch.
The smell of charred bandit was fresh in his nostrils. "How are you unharmed?" That was the first question, before many more rolled off the tip of his tongue, "How did you kill them with no weapon? How did they not land a single hit on you? What magic is that? How are you always so cheery through this?"
The last question was spoken with a visible grimace, as if he was expecting her positivity to rub off on him. "You are unlike any person I have met." And it was all the more strange, the more he gave it thought. "I apologize for being so talkative." His attention turns to the falling snow, catching one flake in the palm of his hand. His guarded expression changed more amiably, now that it was snowing.

My, my... that was the most words she had heard yet coming from out of the captain. Furthermore, all his questions were honest and pertinent.
“Don’t apologize, dear,” the Madame smiled, her voice was hush so that only the captain heard her, “All excellent questions, yet condensable to this: who or what exactly am I?” She folded her arms one over the other, “Unharmed I may be, killed by my own hands they were, and magic? Oh, magic. What a convenient word for the unknown.” Her hand reached up to her brooch as her fingers rubbed against it gently, “Presumptuous as I will seem, I am a woman of capital caliber and personal prestige. By oath of higher titles do I not allow a lie to pass my lips. You will trust me when I say I am no ordinary woman, but for me to speak anymore than that is more risk to you and your men. Are we clear on that, Captain Alto?” Her head had turned to him, eyes locked onto his as she listened with intention.

Kyverian was no stranger to danger, neither were those that had followed him out this far. But putting others in danger for the sake of his curiosity was not on his list of things to do. Ruthless and efficient, without any second thought on necessary sacrifice. But soldiers were not trained to find answers, they were trained to fight and to kill. The option still weighs on his mind as he continues to walk, keeping his eyes locked onto The Madame 's own.
"Very well. I shall have to ask again, when it is just you and I." The stare is kept a little longer than usual, but it was no different from the earlier stares. Eventually, Kyverian does look away, if only to take a gander at the path covered ahead. "I am not afraid of additional threats. I just want to be certain of the people I travel with." His attention does eventually drift away, a thoughtful gleam in his eyes as he's set his gaze forward.
"Perhaps..." The sentence is cut pre-maturely, leaving the unfinished sentence as ambiguous as his thoughts. "Nevermind. I'll not risk myself on speculations." All the was left was the trip to their destination, his hardened gaze only softening when he looks upon the snow. Living in Nohr territory might be dull and brutal for the common man, but Kyverian managed to find some beauty in the bitter cold's landscape.

“Wise man,” was her soft reply, “Maybe we will both have confidence in each other at the end of this trip.” Her face turned away to the road, “Maybe.”
“I say, what are you two whispering about?” Vinny grunted. He had an irritable look on his face as he had been leaning forward on the mule with his hand to his ear. “It’s no good if both my business partners are planning something that I have no knowledge of!”
“Oh, give it a rest, Vinny,” the Madame rolled her eyes, “If there is anyone plotting against you, it’s those brigands we ran into. We are simply discussing matters that concern us, that is all.”
“Oh, matters!” The merchant spat, “I should be involved in that discussion, then!”
The woman turned her head to the complaining fellow, “... Ho, now, you’re red as a cherry. Are you jealous that I’m not giving you any attention?”
His face turned even redder, “N... no! Not at all. Why should I be? Y-you should do as you please.”
“Hmph! Then keep your nose out of my business,” she huffed as she looked away haughtily. Nevertheless, she cast a quick wink in the captain’s direction. Kyverian

"I am notyour business partner, merchant." There's a heavy emphasis with each enunciation, to get the point across while he kept his attention forward, "The commander of the border fortress is your business partner." His slightly elevated mood immediately soured once again, the frigid stare that matched his surrounding temperature soon returned. But, out of the corner of his eye, he saw the The Madame wink in his direction.
There's a slow blink of confusion, having only seen such a discreet action once. He blinks a second time before he makes sure that his attention was visible out of the corner of his eye. To the others, it might just seem like he was blinking. But for the Madame, she could tell that he had returned the subtle gesture, albeit, not as covertly. His head immediately turns forward, eyes upon the road once more.
"We should be reaching our destination soon."
That much Kyverian was certain of. The roads felt less ominous, less likely for brigands to storm their position like before. They only needed to cross one last stretch of Nohrian forest before they'd finally reach Marcarth. The soldiers stepped more lively than before, the talk of reaching civilization having put a spring in their step. The captain, however, seemed to be moving at the same pace. At long last, their journey was coming to an end, where they may find respite before the next assignment.
