Personality: A rigid, yet refined woman, Ursula is a lady of distinction behind the boundary of Nohr. Highly gifted in the art of dark magic, she has shown aptitude to match her power, and the army itself is grateful for her talent. As a result of praise from those higher in standing than her, she is quite conceited, and her military accomplishments as a servant to King Garon give cause for her to boast.
Ursula is perceptive, yet socially challenged, relying on military chatter she had learned in the academy to get herself across. She often hates talking about herself, but a little wine always loosened her lips, and she really loves wine. As a result, she tends to be more talkative, often to the disadvantage to herself and others she may come in contact with.
While she may not be blatantly narcissistic, but she is easily flattered by others who sweet talk and compliment her. A little known fact is that she wears her heart on her sleeve, and becomes more flustered as her focus is shifted toward more romantic notions.
When a person challenges her, especially if her opponent is female, she often desires that it would be a battle of wits than flexing the magic muscles, as she herself would rather have her own soldiers do that work for her. Of course, when she is forced into battle, it is only when her opponent has been weakened significantly as to have an unfair advantage.
Biography:
“High Mage Albury. I have fulfilled my duties to the king today. I shall return home for the evening…
… This is not like you to ask such a mundane question…
… In that case, I accept your offer. Tonight, at your estate.”
Several hours later…
“Hmm… this is a strong wine, High Mage. Is there something you desire to get out of me?
That is all you wanted, ah? I see no harm in telling you how I got to this position.
Every eldest child in my family has always served under King Garon within his grand army. Each one of my fathers has done this, and I was the surprise. I am the eldest girl, gifted in magic beyond the understanding of my own family. I was feared for my aptitude, and they feared me for how different I was. I could cause chaos in a room without lifting a finger.
Outside, the local children never played with me. They called me a witch, tortured me with touching pieces of hot charcoal on my ankles, and even forced lizards down my throat.
The worst part was that none of my family cared. They were too busy babying my little brother to bat an eye at me. Haaa, I hated them, but I was too cowardly to do anything of significant harm. There were more of them than me, and why suffer any more pain?
Haha... why suffer anymore at all? Why not end my suffering? They did not need me. They were already happy without me.
So, I walked to the edge of the canyon. I entertained the idea of leaping off of the edge. It was not as if anyone would miss me, yes? I took a few steps closer to the edge until I had stood at the precipice.
… But I was stopped.
Advisor Iago, tactician of King Garon, appeared suddenly and without warning. He claimed to have seen my suffering, and he offered to take me into his care and nurture my gift of magic. What I did not know was that what he had sent was a homunculus of sorts, but that in itself was cause for interest on my end.
I willfully agreed, and he became a father to me, at least, a better father than my blood breeder could possibly achieve. I did not have friends, only subordinates, and they treated me like a superior. I was the strongest mage in our class, out-doing the others who fancied themselves dark mages.
Eventually, I had risen through the ranks of the army through great intellect and sheer power to match. Now, I am leading a unit of my own mages to patrol our fair lands…
Hm? So, there was an ulterior purpose for this meeting after all… perhaps you may give me full detail of who I am eliminating?
… Aha… I see. Consider it done.”
