You step onto hard grounds. Dead trees encase you. A moonless sky hangs above. Bodies of those lost littered the space between bones. Guttural growls announce the faceless' appearance. The masked beast stumbles closer, letting you realize its might.

“This is becoming ridiculous very quickly,” said Grant while he drew a weapon. Desensitised by the utterly random timing of the Outrealm gate. A roar followed by grand stomps approaching notified him of an incoming monster.
“Very quickly,” he repeated.
Combat Initiated!

Grant equips his Kris Knife!
Green knuckles sped in his direction, for once he had happened upon a Faceless that did not appear to be too slow for him. He braced himself the best his could as he stepped sideways to dodge.
Faceless punches Grant
aimOGdcY1-100
(Chance to hit: 77) (Damage: Miss!)
Not quick enough it seemed. The Faceless's jab went wild to it's side. The butler had completely avoided it and put himself in a prime position to respond.
One quick stab into the creature's stomach was attempted.
Grant's attack on the Faceless

(Chance to hit: 80)
His own assault had been parried by a quick swipe from the unearthly warrior using an elbow. It left Grant in a mild state of surprise.
Grant's HP: 19/19
Faceless's HP: 22/22
| Turn 2 |
Grant is faster than the Faceless!
He was so close to the beast- there was no backing out of the fight just yet. A retreat would leave him in a disadvantageous position and disengaging would do all the same. With this in mind, he passed his left foot anticlockwise as he rotated his body to an acute angle. He hoped to leave a large cut in the Faceless's side while putting himself in a better position to strike once more.
Grant's attack on Faceless
1-100
(Chance to hit: 80) (Damage: Miss!)
Utterly and completely outmanoeuvred by the monster. Noticing Grant's motion, it too followed suit to match with it's own stance. The butler's blade missed as the Faceless raised it's arms and leaned backwards. Clearly this was no ordinary faceless. Even worse, it sent out a right hook to the side of the butler's head as a heavy punish for the earlier assault.
Faceless's attack on Grant
1-100
(Chance to hit: 77) (Damage: 14)
There was no chance for him to miss or for Grant to dodge. A loud crack emerged as it's fist made contact with the butler's jaw. Such a powerful strike disorientated his target an made him reel back from the force.
Grant's HP: 8/19
Faceless's HP: 22/22
| Turn 3 |
Impossible or so he thought. Could there be more Faceless whose knowledge and skill in combat surpass that of a human's? Perhaps the corpses which he saw earlier had been it's creators and this was an abnormality in their final product. It was always safer to keep a creature of monstrous strength dim of wit so that they would be easily manageable after all. As it was, Grant could not even touch him, but perhaps he could rely on some other power of his.
Regeneration.
While blood was present from the severity of his injuries, his own wounds began to fade automatically.

He needed two things: better positioning and insurance that he would not die from another hit. Time was what they cost and that much he had. The only complication was whether he could endure such punishment while the monster dished it. Grant narrowed his eyes and began examining it's movements.
Meanwhile, the Faceless wasted no time in continuing the battle at it's own pace. A single open hand reached forward to grasp the butler by his throat.
Faceless's attack on Grant

(Chance to hit: 77) (Damage: 14)
Try as he may, the young man could not move around the grapple swift enough. The Faceless lifted him off the ground with the intention of choking his target or crushing his windpipe before realising that he was a lot sturdier than he came off as. It reeled it's arm back before slamming him repeatedly against the husk of a dead tree. If dying of asphyxiation by strangulation would not kill him, then surely the blunt impact would.

Two hands grasped weakly at the one larger green one. The sight of him still trying could have been considered pitiful. Perhaps he might as well have given up considering he was low on options. Yet his healing did not cease. A sign that even if his body felt like quitting, his spirit did not.
Stay awake. Stay strong.

Grant recovers 10 HP!
Aggravated was how the Faceless was growing. How could a mere human survive such fatal damage?
It lifted the butler as far back as it possibly could for a moment. Muscles bulged even more from it's rage. With one last smash, it hoped to end his enemy's life.

He was relatively back in shape and so, a shaky hand raised his weapon once more. Then, the shaking stopped. Focus was required- any less and he would surely lose his life.
Infuriated by what is transpiring before it, the green giant dashed towards the human. It bellowed and roared as it sent both of it's fists down to reduce Grant to a bloody pancake.
