In the roads of Kitsuki, he was located once more. Simply being there invoked an unusual calm in Grant- even more than he usually already is. So much to see, so much to do. Regardless, he was not visiting the village for the sightseeing. At least, not this time.
Occultists were the aim of his bounty, or so it told on the notice he received. A pity that the pay was not higher than his previous targets, but it mattered not. Someone he knew lived in the area. The same person who had shown him kindness and an unreasonable level of energy prior to this peculiar visit. It appeared to be time to repay her favour in full.
The plan was simple. As usual, he scouted the area while searching for hints as to their location. None the less, the traces and moves of the mages were awfully hard to pinpoint for the butler. Of course, they were obviously seeking a higher power to obtain by dark rituals of some sort. Though, Grant did not know of places of worship for spirits or naturally occurring high anima levels. He was in a foreign land.
Frustrating was what it was, yet the lad made sure to keep himself composed. Perhaps sensing the outpour of magical energy was the required and most valid method to take.
Not quite. The flow of residential arcane power appeared to be regular in his surroundings. A large factor that might have influenced the sensation was his little magical affinity- even if he was able to control it to perform a reasonable degree of work. How tedious. To be senseless as to where they might even reside. A feeling of urgency overcame Grant. Taking too long to find them might leave the occultists enough time to carry out their devious experiments upon more subjects.
Who’s to say that they have not already gotten to some of the villagers?
Concentration. Upon closing his eyes, he started to see lights. Lights among the canvas of darkness in his mind. To be more exact, he did not see them per say, rather he felt them. Two weak sources compelling him forward. . . Along with that appeared to be a third in the process of forming. . .
Now that he had a pinpoint on their location, he smirked. In all fairness, he did not expect what he tried to work, but even if it did he would not complain in the slightest. No time was to be wasted. He headed to where he sensed the energies with a determined stride.
Step by step, the sensation that the occultists imposed grew. He was getting closer by the second, there was no doubt about it. The butler parted a bush only to come face to face with the occultists he was looking for and an Entombed that seemed to levitate to it's feet while being raised from the dreadful slumber it was placed in.
