Personality:Miyoko is a shy and reserved attendant at the Uki shrine. She loves to care for the wounded that come to the shrine. She tends be very helpful but is fairly awkward at times. She is generally introverted and spends any free time she has with her master learning more healing arts. Even though she has limited friends, she loves helping her friends in anyway she can. Be it praying, teaching them some basic healing methods, etc.
Biography:Miyoko was practically raised in the local shrine in Uki. Her biological parents felt that Miyoko would lead an awful life if she was not protected under some sort of order that would protect her. This lead her to be take in by one of the monks at Uki Shrine. She was raised by the monk as if she was her daughter even though her actual parents visited her weekly, daily on some occasions. The agreement between her family and the monk seemed to work out until Miyoko started becoming a burden on the shrine. As a solution, the monk offered to train her as a shrine maiden. After long periods of discussion between the elders of the shrine, Miyoko was taken in as a student/trainee shrine maiden and one of the youngest trainees at the shrine.
Miyoko dedicated herself to her studies, excelling at her healing studies to most people's surprise. She, however, lacked field experience and most of her healing was done after a battle took place between local forces and bandits. Naturally, the head monk decided to send the blind girl into battle during a bandit attack. This almost ended with her getting killed or captured by bandits after the soldier protecting her was killed. Unable to run away, she fell into a small river. After a rescue, the head monk was suggested that Miyoko should be part of the field care or be a local healer rather than one being involved in battle. After the monk agreed, he felt rather bad for the girl so he brought her a kitten in her sick bed.
The kitten proved very useful as it became her guide animals in the town of Uki. The two are practically inseparable. Most people expect Miyoko to come walking by when they see her kitten, Hisoka, and vice versa. It has made her more mobile than ever before. It let her venture across town. While she is still restricted to the town, people will see her relaxing in the farm fields spread across town.
