How quickly the tide change against Northella's favor. Akemi had no clue whatsoever why a deserter of all people would try to score a job at a fortress full of Nohrian soldiers but it seemed this thick headed woman wasn't as smart or clever as she claimed. Regardless of the circumstances it wasn't her place to talk, not that she really had the strength left to waste her breath berating these two for much longer.
It was a relief when Northella was escorted away and then verbally slapped. There was something strangely satisfying about all of this and now that the coast was clear Akemi was free to stand up from that damp corner so she could laid down on that plank bed hanging from the wall.
Every movement Akemi made no matter how slightly caused her to whimper. There was no denying she'd gotten quite the bruising the other day. Right now the most important thing was conserving her own strength for the interrogation that would inevitably come.
"You're really in no position to bargain here," Amelia replied. She would not back her men down. The woman hadn't bothered listening to her other words as they were of no interest to her. Nobody needed to tell her how to treat another captive. All she could do was roll her eyes when she gave her final words to Akemi. Was Nohr really that bad? The woman smirked at the thought of it. Perhaps she did pick the right side in this war afterall.
"Are you done?" Her voice was dry. "That was quite the speech you had there. You're a total rookie at this. That was quite entertaining, love. Thank you. Now," Amelia waved her hands. The guards wasted no time in taking both sides of Northella and ushering her to the door. She was pushed out of the building, and onto the dirt. Her fate was no concern to Amelia the moment she was out of her site. She instead turned to Akemi.
"Let's see what we can do with you now. It's much nicer not having that butch buzzing around in my ear." She glanced at Akemi with a condescending look. "Not that you're any better. Tell me, how long do you expect me to keep you for? You be good and I'll let you out after a day with a broken finger or two. That heals. You'd be able to move on and forget me and all of this. But, there are other things." She began to walk across the room. Her heels gave loud clicks as she made her way to a burning fireplace. Already in place for her was a rapier like sword, its tip glowing red from the fires heat. "Some things never heal. There are scars I could give you that you'll carry for the rest of your life. With it, a burning hatred for me, my country, and yourself. Your failure. Your own ineptitude. You will forever curse the day that you fell into my hands."
She slipped into the small cell. A guard in the room but still distant from the two of them. She was a few feet away from where Akemi was. "So tell me something. How do you feel about failing? Be honest with me now." Akemi
" I'm not expecting to leave this place alive." In the face of adversity all she could do was close her eyes and hope the pain would be brief. This woman's approach was a hell of a lot more ... refined since she'd been able to get an honest response out of her this time around. While Amelia's word stung she wasn't all that wrong about this entire escapade. Her eyes got bigger when she saw the glowing red tip of that sword, already imagining the type of sadistic interrogation she would be getting at the hands of this cavalier.
" I feel ... absolutely worthless. End my life or just keep toying around with my body.I don't really care what you do to me at this point. I'm not telling you anything more than my name and rank." Not for one second did the green haired captive woman believed that Amelia would let her go that easily with some minor injury. Even if she talked this cavalier would have no qualms 'disposing' of her once Akemi outlived her usefulness.
Akemi might have been thick headed and dense most of the time but she wasn't exactly afraid of being scarred for life. If anything the shame of giving out her friends would far out weight having to live with an horrendous mark on her skin.
"Worthless is right. You have no meaning here. You have no army of your own and no friends to turn to." She glanced in the direction that Northella had been taken away. It was a pity the two hadn't thought things through. Northella could have been a very powerful ally for Akemi, yet that had been wasted in blindness. Amelia had only been the first to notice it. "Who says I'm looking for information from you?" Amelia asked, her eyebrows lifted filled with intrigue. "What I had said earlier wasn't a lie. I'm doing something that I thoroughly enjoy. I don't think my men know just to what extent it is quite yet." She gave a playful laugh and shook her head. Information had no interest to her at this time. They knew what they wanted about this man and the project itself was run by Campbell. "You may end up dying and I'll just tell them you were a hard nut to crack. It's no good to waste precious time and energy on something like that." The woman held her sword out in front of Amelia's face. With pursed lips she looked Akemi over. She paced around her like she was some kind of animal until she brushed the burning blade against her side in a gentle, searing tease. It only made Amelia's grin widen. "Would you like to live a life with my mark upon your flesh? It's the most beautiful of A's"
