The empty road held her attention. Venom laced the tip of her tongue. It took biting it to keep from lashing out. Crow was right. She had no interest in hearing about his unit. He could think them as nice as he wanted, but there's no way he happened to know every nice person in the military. Wishful thinking or naivety, it could be both.
"They're people." Serena said. "Lapdogs or not, they just need to think for themselves. That's really all I have to say about that."
